Thank goodness we beat them. Stating the obvious I know.

At 2-0 I thought we’d seen them off, then we let them back into it again.

Awful defending (again) for their goal.

We just held on. Thank You Hato for that tackle to prevent Madison scoring!

We simply must get rid of the ‘dead wood’ and buy quality players during the close season.

The problem is, even our so called best players are idiotic at times. Caicedo has been doing my head in this season. He's supposed to be one of our best players but will never be a top footballer until he cuts out the stupid fouls. He always looks like he is panicking. He's way too erratic as a footballer, nothing he does seems to be in control.

Palmer too. I'm getting tired of him overthinking things. He will do the hard work, then hold on to the ball without releasing. He makes the wrong choice too often.

Our bad players will always be bad, but it feels like our best players are regressing too. I wish there was no world cup, because I feel like they could all do with getting away from football for a bit. Just have a break and come back with a clear head or something.

We did better under Maresca imho because he gave them stricter roles, while Rosenior seemed to try to give them more freedom. Xabi will be more like Maresca, I think that might be helpful to this group

I think I’ll say f**king appalling game of football

I know it's end of season and we didn't really have a whole lot to play for (other than beating Spurs, which should always be enough), but I honestly can't recall such a poor game against that lot. It was so dull. So many players just going through the motions with no urgency or awareness. A better side than Spurs would have beaten us last night but thankfully they are where they are for good reason. They are sh*te and last night, we were only marginally better.

Last night, Palmer looked better, although still nowhere near his best. Enzo did okay in parts as did Santos - both look a lot better going forward though as both are really poor defending. Hato MOTM. Not sure what has happened to Caicedo. Bar one or two moments and one great pass to Cucurella he was bad and worse still his play-acting every time someone goes near him is getting downright embarrassing. Cut it out FFS.

Be so glad when this season is over.

Did our job, but let's be honest this Spurs team is god damn awful apart from a couple of players we could use. Whatever happens on the last day, one of these hated London clubs will go down, a sound ending to the season.

Good goals but my god, why did we let them get into the game so easily? Left before their lap of honour, tomorrow have got to work and I like to put a shift in unlike our players. I don’t want us to go to Europe if it means Conference League. f**k this board, they didn’t put the necessary tools in so they don’t deserve any European cup.

We left bang on the final whistle. The 8.15 KO meant that by the time we got back to our car it was 10.30pm. The sat nav said we would be at our hotel ( just by Heathrow) at 10.50pm but we knew that didn’t factor in the fact that the M4 was due to be closed at 10.00pm for road works. We were diverted onto the A4. Even on the A4 there were several hold ups due to traffic and at one junction the traffic lights weren’t working. We eventually got to our hotel room at 11.45pm.

I don’t ever hang around for a lap of appreciation which supposedly isn’t the players seeking applause but them applauding the supporters. Had we stayed my guess we would probably still be in traffic !

I know it goes against the tide of opinion but I actually quite enjoyed the game. I was impressed with the likes of Hato( he is going to be a very good player) and Josh who I didn’t know if it came over on the TV coverage but he is a very decent defender taking intelligent positions and an impressive turn of pace.

The team was basically made up from the players that were available . It’s pretty obvious that Delap is like a rabbit in the headlights but that team setup and game plan was almost certainly put together on Monday whereas Spurs had over a week to work on shape and recovery following their last game. You can see why the finished last season in 17th and hopefully will finish one place lower come Sunday.

I was more than happy with the result and that for me was the main focus.

I got back home at 12:15 am, thanks to a cancelled train and the tube stopping for what it seemed to be forever in every stop.

I enjoyed the game mostly because it is Spurs and what it means this derby, which makes it quite an intense game. The atmosphere was great mostly throughout the game, with either them or us singing loud. But the quality was poor in general. I agree that I enjoyed watching some of the players, like Acheampong, Hato, but also Santos.

I left at the final whistle as well. Wanted to get home at a reasonable time. In the end arrived home just before midnight. My ST is in the MHU and nearly everyone who sits near me left at the final whistle. If the game had kicked-off at an earlier time I may have stayed. Saying that I haven't stayed for the lap of honour for a few seasons.

@RMH agree, the atmosphere was great for most of the game. Probably the best atmosphere is a long time. Playing and beating Spurs always improves the atmosphere.

Thought Santos had a good game but sadly it was the usual thing with the team, got too casual and let Spurs back in the game.

On the journey home bumped into a couple of guys who live not far from me. One has a ST in the Shed Upper and the other has a ST in the West Lower. Had a good chat about the game; games of yesteryear and the future of buying tickets especially season tickets. I can see Season tickets being phased out or the numbers available being reduced. I'm not convinced that the club wants old gits like me following the club.

I believe he's a bit far from being "reliable" at the moment, but at the same time can't see why he's sooo behind Gusto for our previous managers or why he doesn't get game time when we need to defend a lead (the rarest of things) or get one back at the other side with his height and pace.

Here's to hoping Xabi recognizes his potential and starts trusting him way more as I feel we may lose him "emotionally" if we just loan him out this season, since he/his agent already tried to get out once. If we do loan him, it will have to be a perfect spot just like Colwill at Brighton, maybe Bournemouth considering Senesi is leaving and Jimenez (RB) has that sex offence charge going on.

Good points. I also think Cole Palmer could do without going to the World Cup.

A good break would let him recover mentally and physically.
