He reminds me of a friend of mine who no matter how long he spends in the sun just goes from white to pink and then back to white (repeat ad infinitum!)

I'm actually curious to know how @just has fared

Feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin? I love it. It's meant to be around 36/37 here today and I am playing padel tennis for two hours this morning. I have always been OK in heat, just make sure to apply plenty of sun cream and rehydrate regularly. My missus isn't nearly as comfortable though and usually doesn't move more than 12 feet from an air conditioning unit at this time of year.

The UK climate used to depress me. The winters went on forever and it usually pissed down for most of what was meant to be summer. Much happier out here.

You need to see someone.

We had record days of consecutive rain in the Cornwall at the start of the year. March wasn't any better either, we had one good week in April and one really hot end to May. Then the end of June and all of July was probably the best for weather (or worst, depending on if you're psycho and hate sunny weather) I have ever seen in the UK. The heat at the end of May and a period in June (I think it was when England played Panama) was way too hot for me though. August has started similarly, but we did have rain yesterday, so I expect it to see August kill summer off like it usually does.

Up until now, this is probably the best summer I have experienced in the UK since 2006.

I'm in Cornwall at the end of the month, so i'm hoping the weather holds out until after that.

then bring on the rain and snow

Pffffft. Come to Tuscany. Hovering around 40C for the last 3 weeks, another fortnight forecast. Get things done in the morning, lunch, followed by a very long siesta with the fan on.

Lazy population. I like to work from 6am-6pm.

This large preseason squad cannot be helpful, other than for the back to back games on the 8th and 9th.

Still more to add in Enzo, Barco, Reece, Neto, maybe others I have forgot.

We really need the sales to get a move on.

If we go into the season, which is only Premier League & FA Cup for us with a squad something like this…

GK

Diogo Costa, +1, Sharman Lowe

DEF

RJ, Palestra, Levi, Lacroix, Josh, Fofana, Anselmino, Hato, Pep

MID

Caicedo, Wharton, Essugo, Lavia, Henderson

ATT

JP, CP, Rogers, Stevie, Dat Guy, Quenda, Misha, Satpayev

LOAN

Sarr, Gittens, Walsh

SELL

Any c**t not named above.

That’s a 25 man squad which is plenty for the amount of games we should expect to play. Just so many players to shift between now and the end of the window.

Diogo Costa ain't happening, BlueCo already prepping the media we're happy with our options.

We're stuck with Sanchez until Penders hits puberty.

Early days but I do think the defense already looks noticeable more organised than last season

Really? They've looked all over the place in all 3 of these friendlies from what I have seen. On the counter attack, we look very exposed.

Keep missing out Barco

I’m taking the same approach to Barco as I am Emegha.

Just act like they don’t exist.

Even if we include Barco and Emegha in the "staying" category we have a large number of players that have to be offloaded in a short amount of time. Many of whom are not going to attract much interest in the market. We might have enough for a full bomb squad 11

I think Xabi will have his work cut out. Lots of new players, the squad is almost starting from scratch. Im not expecting too much from the first 5 games before the international break. On paper he might be expected to get at least four wins. I fear It could be a very modest return but i hope we stick with him/it. It will take him a little while to wade through this extensive list of players, i imagine he will be down to a core of approx 16-18 by Christmas if he is still here. Good Luck Xabi lad i think you are gonna need it.
