i'm thinking of going and ignoring football for one moment, part of me is thinking of getting some sun so porto, villareal or barca for me!

In truth, and i say this every year, i want chelsea to play a foreign team...that's what european competition means for me...playing an english team is a bit of a let down...well until we win of course!

I honestly feel, unless its United, whom I fear because of their inexplicable ability to win despite the way they play, that we can win against any side.

But Porto or Villareal will be boring opponents and the outcome seems to be predictable.

What the h*ll is going on in Europe this year? 8 teams left and half of them are from England...Even Arsenal came through with their boyteam.

I hope we will meet Villareal in the next round. They have a quality team but not as near as good as ours. Porto is tougher opponent IMO.

I predict and hope:

Arsenal vs. Porto

Liverp**l vs. Barca

Bayern vs. ManU

There is a slight chance Bayern and Barca causing ManU and Scum to drop. Otherwise ManU and Scum are the teams to fear in this competition at the moment.

L*v*rp**l and Manure playing each other would really help us greatly to avoid either of them in the semis (if we etc....). Plus I would enjoy a bloody fight between them :D

The way they're playing, it's United's to lose but I wouldn't fancy Bayern too much either.

On the other side of the coin, I reckon most of the oppo would have us as second worst option to draw after United.

Ok so lets hope the draw is:

United vs Liverpool

Chelsea vs Porto

Arsenal vs Villareal

Barca vs Bayern

That will give us semis involving us, United, Arsenal and Barca. We then stuff the Gooners and meet United in the final with them having half their squad missing for picking up injuries and cards in 180 minutes of hell against Barca.

Could happen...?!

You've read my mind just.

I would like us to draw Arsenal, simply because it would give Guss a chance to show how/if he could could out smart Wenger in two big games, if he is a top manager he should come out on top.

We've improved since Guus took over, but I still think we're a fair way short of being one of the best teams in the CL, that said I'd rather we got a decent (fancied) European side - Barca and if we win, we prove that we deserve to be there, but if we go out we avoid the shame of going out to an English club.

As for the other English clubs;

Manu - I think they're the best English team at the moment and it would be an upset if we went through against them.

Scum - I'm still hoping the government sells that whole area to the lowest bidder, then we don't have to worry about them.

Arse - I'm worried enough about our potential FA Cup tie against them, they've got good players comming back at the right time and I think they'll have a good finish to the season (villa certainly wont finish 4th).

UEFA's warm balls will be used for the quarter/semi/final draw, they wont leave nothing to chance this time, expect at least one all English tie.

In previous years weve played manure in the final, dippers in the semis (twice) and le arse in the quarters.

So I'm going for ....

Q/F - Chelsea Vs le arse

S/F - Chelsea Vs ratmunchers

Final - Chelsea Vs manure

That would be a hell of a gauntlet to run, but at least this season (and for Moscow) we could be on a revenge mission against all three teams. Surely nothing would make it sweeter than beating every one.

I want to avoid the English sides and Barca for as long as possible, and I too think chance/UEFA's wishes will see at least one all english tie in the quarters, but honestly, how sweet would it be to see all four sides paired against a continental side and beaten, for an all English semi. The disappointment I would have seeing the Dippers advance would be balanced by the fact that somewhere, Sepp Blatter would be crying softly.

Hope we draw Porto or Villareal, though, and with the round of 16 being such a challenge, I think karma owes us this one. Bayern, Barca, and the Mancs would scare me to no end

I would be really surprised if we didn't get a strong team in the next round. I don't think we're lucky enough to get one of the "easier" teams.

But, if we want to win this we have to eliminate the other good teams so we might as well start picking them off one by one. First Barcelona, then ManU and finally we make Gerrard cry in the final. Wouldn't be too bad :)
