The Coutinho links have been gathering pace, although i get the impression, it could be leaked information to drum up interest, since barca will want to raise funds for De ligt and Greizmann.

Zaha with batshuayi as a makeweight could be a possibility, although i really hope not. 

I dont really see any way we would sign cavani though, which makes the whole thing less reliable. £40m plus on a 32 year old striker on massive wages, and at least a 2 year contract with a possible ban. We have made some poor decisions in the market, but that would go so far against all buisness we have conducted in the last 5 years, i think it is absolute bs. 

 

Im not agaisn't us signing Zaha and Coutinho, not my first choice but they are better than what we have.

If we could spend that 160m on Kane rather than Zaha+Coutinho combined, I'd be happier

Is he though? His numbers aren't really much better than theirs. Of course you could argue he's playing in a worse team, so you'd expect less chances, but on the other hand, teams sit back much more against us than they do against Palace, so I think it evens out.

Numbers aside, it's just my opinion that he is a better player now than either of them.  Though he is pretty streaky with his play.  You'll get nothing out of him, then he'll go absolutely nuts like in the last game of their season last weekend.  But like I said, I hope we look elsewhere for help on the wing.

That he might be, but having Duffer and Nevin at their current ages would be better opinions that Willian and Pedro. Lol ok maybe not but it really is not hard to improve of Willian and Pedro imo.

Simon Phillips just tweeted this link.  I'm sure the Independent is just throwing darts here, but I think Neres would be a good signing for us.  You could say that about practically that entire Ajax team.

Assuming the ban gets frozen, and we aren't in for Pepe, Neres is a good option.  Left footed, too!

If there's one person I'd like to replace Hazard this season it's Dybala. Not in terms of positional replacement but someone who has the ability to play as a deep forward and link up with play.

Having a front 3 or CHO Dybala Pulisic would be quite exciting and I think he would adapt well to Sarris system. I've always found our strikers just getting lost in play this season. They have to come deep looking for it as we just go side to side and only on a few occasions we are pretty direct.

With Alergri going this season I guess he's more likely to stay but I imagine he would be a perfect Griezman replacement also.

Strange that the article says we are infor neres a left winger becausw we missed out on jovic who is a striker.

Could be a good signing though, but like yourself i would prefer pepe.

Yeah that was a strange point made, I don’t think Neres has played as a striker at all.  Though Ajax did keep their front 3 pretty fluid, it was always Tadic at the false 9 or striker role.

Saves us god knows how much in wages and transfer fee and builds for the future.

Only thing is you want someone that instantly improves your team, anyone on that list would, even zaha and although there are better options I’d happily take the other 2, moreso cavani as I’m not sure how courtinho would fit

Age isn’t a factor he is in his prime, Chelsea would never sell him and the french league is a step backwards for him, yiu ciuid safety day every big club would be interested in kante if he was for sale but he is certainly not and I can’t see his head bring turned

I will love to see us replace Hazard with Dybala too. But if we will like to play him as a center forward, he will quickly turns out to be flop in the EPL. He is more known for his creativity than his scoring prowess.

May be he fits perfect but City are keen to keep him at the Etihad and it is understood they are now set to hold talks with his representatives

Not a fan of Milik. Jovic is better, we should stop going for 2nd and 3rd choices when we can afford it.

Plus seeing the club dealing with ADL again just makes me sick.

Milik is a much better finisher and better at linking play. More proven? Don't know how you've come to that conclusion, he's had one good season.
