I think if there was any inkling he could do that in the Premier League surely he would be signed by now. Scouse could sure use him, as well as a host of others (Everton, Spurs, Villa, Sutherland, etc.) would be jumping at the chance or so I would think? I'm not sure if they dropped him completely, but they certainly weren't happy when he was seen sipping a Pepsi at a press conference. Apparently it was an honest mistake as he was given a Pepsi, but wasn't paying attention.

And given that we have Cole, Bertrand, and 421543 left wingers (actual list: Mata, Hazard, Marin, Malouda unless we sell him, Kakuta and De Bruyne if they're not out on loan, Oscar and Schurrle would both be able to play there in a pinch if we signed either of them), signing another Zhirkov type would make no sense whatsoever, even assuming Lucic is Chelsea standard in general.

If it was a reasonable price (unlikely, this is Newcastle), I wouldn't mind him too. Was awful at Newcastle though cause he kept getting played at left back instead of right back. When he did play right back he was class.

Santon played at LB aswell at Inter under Mourinho its not a problem for him.

Wasn't great at LB there either from what I can remember. He looked much more comfortable at RB than he did at LB when playing in the EPL. Was probably the way Newcastle set up though, doubt it would matter if he was surrounded with quality players.
