I would take him for 6m & lower wages (but the latter would be the problem I reckon, plus I think he prob wants to play)

Not really, he's leaving mainly cause Fergie didn't play him at all. Then forced him to sign a 3 year contract with no intention of playing him. He's said before he doesn't mind being on the bench as long as he's involved in games, I would imagine he would get a lot more games here than he currently has had at United.

If we were to sign a reserve striker I would prefer us to go for someone like Rossi from Villarreal who would surely be quite cheap considering they got relegated.

Rossi isn't a bad player, we could do worse. But onnly if he wasn't ridiculously overpriced like most players we're linked to.

For me, he would be third and I think he would be fine with that. If Torres and/or Sturridge get injured he can step in. We all know he can score goals and he'd be quite cheap. He would definitely be on the shortlist but will the Mancs even sell him to us is the real question?

They can't afford to not sell him if someone, even us, bid £5m-£10m. I remember Fergie saying he would let him go for £10m but that was a while ago and I can only assume that asking price has reduced.

Why not enter the loan market for a player? Like sours did with adebyor? Someone the owning club wants off their wage list? All we have to do is pay their wages and it sorts us out for a year?
