June 13, 201313 yr I think it's better to loan creative players to Spain. Slightly more time on the ball (but still fast paced), more of a focus on possession football and it's generally a bit more free flowing. It definitely gives younger players a bit more opportunity to improve that creative, attacking side of their game and as long as we don't overreach and try and get him into a champions' league side like we did last season he'll get enough games to really improve and get going. After his technique is proven then we can get him used to the Premier League. I would have a worry that he might have the best parts of his game beaten out of him over here.
June 13, 201313 yr Apparently Celta Vigo want to take Oriol Romeu on loan: http://www.weaintgotnohistory.com/2013/6/12/4422140/celta-vigo-are-making-noise-about-potentially-taking-oriol-romeu-on Tbh I don't think he's gonna make it here, I mean I might be wrong and I'd be happy to be but he's never really impressed me. I think it'll be a good move for him. I'm not sure if Oriol has a future at the club and after such a long time out playing some regular matches will be good for him.
June 13, 201313 yr The Daily Fail is claiming that they want Lukaku on loan to partner Caroll up front. If he stays with us the want Ba. I couldnt believe that article. Reads like we are a feeder club for West Ham, and they get to pick and choose who they want from our first team or something.
June 13, 201313 yr No need to loan Ba at all. There would be offer to buy him if we were looking to sell. As for Piazon i think he will be sold within the next two seasons. I dont think he will ever make it at Chelsea. Maybe a move to a Spanish team would suit him.
June 13, 201313 yr Im not sure about Piazon on loan to Palace, he will get games sure but do we want him in a team that will be struggling for most of the season and may get little possession.Somewhere like Swansea would be better. His playing time at Swansea would be significantly less than what Palace could be offering him (and he won't be a guaranteed starter there). At this point of his development, playing time is crucial.

If he played like he can and showed at Malaga he could play in the CAM role behind Michu.Swansea passing, possession style is better for him. Edited June 13, 201313 yr by jack_super_class
June 13, 201313 yr Why would he struggle to get into the Swansea side? If he played like he can and showed at Malaga he could play in the CAM role behind Michu.Swansea passing, possession style is better for him. Because their attacking midfield options, currently, are all superior players to Piazon. For all we know, they could strengthen in that area even further (or drop Michu back to play in his 'natural' position, which is behind the striker) which would potentially drop him further down the pecking order if he went there on loan and struggle to get suitable minutes like Josh struggled too at Swansea. Style of play shouldn't be the key factor in sending him out on loan, it should be how much playing time he should be getting. It's not as if Palace are some hoofball team who aren't able or interested in keeping the ball or passing it about.

Michu likely to play CF again, they have Hernandez who plays out wide,Dyer and Routledge. If Piazon played like he did at Malaga he would get in that team no problem.

Michu likely to play CF again, they have Hernandez who plays out wide,Dyer and Routledge. If Piazon played like he did at Malaga he would get in that team no problem. Routledge, Pablo, Michu and De Guzman are all players who are capable of playing as the central attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 and are all better players than Piazon. You're making out as if Piazon was a key player for Malaga or that he excelled there on loan, too, which isn't the case.

De Guzman was only on loan and if they did sign him he would most likely play in the pivot. I'm not making it out as Piazon was a key player but he had some good games for them where he showed his quality and he didn't look out of place despite his age and his limited experience of first team football. If he could get games for Malaga im pretty sure he could get games for Swansea.Them being in the Europa league next season is another positive about going to Swansea on loan if it did happen in my opinion.

June 14, 201313 yr You guys seen anything about the club signing a back up goalie? I don't think I've found any rumours on that.
June 14, 201313 yr Rumours going around over here (Australia) about Schwarzer coming here for a year or so, however I think that's just because he's Australian so they're trying to link him to whatever they can.
June 14, 201313 yr Doesnt he want to play in the world cup? Sitting on our bench all season wont help his chances.
June 14, 201313 yr I read something on twitter about signing John Ruddy from Norwich. Edited June 14, 201313 yr by jack_super_class
June 14, 201313 yr Rumours on twitter we offered 6m for Matej Vydra, Czech striker at Udinese. Spent last year on loan at Watford, scored 20 goals for them. That's all I got.

Voted Championship Player Of The Year if I remember rightly, scored some nice goals for Watford, only 21. Could be our new Gudjohnson if true. Though it probably isn't.

June 17, 201313 yr Being connected with 24 year old Romanian CB from Bucharest, Vlad Chiriches. Love that first name...
June 17, 201313 yr Has anyone noticed that all the talk about players leaving are all playing in the Confederations cup ? Luiz, Mata, Fabregas, Mikel, Suarez, Cavani. The media are just talking crap because these players are being watched all over the world right now.
