I would be very happy if we can sell Mikel and replace him with Imbula. Salah can also be sold and "replaced" with a winger, since we only have Hazard and Willian as good options atm.

Alex Song is completely underrated.

Was one of Arsenal's key players before earning a move to Barcelona where, unsurprisingly, they couldn't find a proper place for him in the first team before impressing again at West Ham.

Homegrown, powerful and with good feet he's far superior to Mikel and would be a very good value signing.

He wasn't one or arsenals key for players, he was the reason teams found it so easy to boss their midfield and play through theirvsoft centre.

Difference is Falcao was one of the best players in the world when he transferred to Monaco whereas Mikel is bench warmer.

I like how you completely ignore his time leading up to that season (which wasn't even that great, his assists covered up a lot of his flaws as Barca soon found out) where he was completely rubbish. Or his performances after December for West Ham where he was the worst player on a team that included Kevin Nolan.

There must be plenty of teams that would want him especially in PL, Italy or France. Hell, Holland, Belgium or the championship would be a step up from Al Ain

Don't believe its about playing time at all.

Surely there's a better club out there that'll pay him these kinds of wages tho.

No chance; he has always been linked to Turkish clubs and those wages are probably what they pay their forwards/top players. His option is either the Arabs/ Chinese clubs, his profile is not big enough to attract MLS clubs.

I certainly don't remember Kalou been rated that highly. Bosingwa was overrated though when we signed him, even when he was scoring goals at the start of his time here his defending was massively suspect.

Kind of sad to see this. I would have thought a serie A club would be in for him, or any average European side.

We paid £16.2m for Bosingwa another Jorge Mendes client.

Wow... 16 million for Bosingwa. He was a 7-8m player at best. A defender who really wasn't much of a defender at all.

Bosingwa was alright. Repaid his fee that night playing out of position on Messi.

Any of you French experts seen much of Nabil Fekir? Watched him against Belgium the other night, left footed. Small, nuggety with quick feet. Looked a player who could bookend Hazard in a few years to me.

It's looking a bit depressing so far. Cech may be on the way to Arsenal and we're trying to sign another has-been striker who looks a shadow of his former self. I know it's still early, but I was hoping for us to be linked with better quality.
