It is a very complicated situation to sort out. Would bot honestly surprise me if we barley brought anyone in, or maybe no one in and all we managed to do so shift Lukaku out on loan on the last day of the window.

If that's the case we are screwed.

I've been impressed when I watched him for Netherlands or Inter. Would be great if we get him as part of a deal to offload Lukaku.

Not going to happen. He isn't going to go from starting RWB for Inter to back up for us. Especially with World Cup coming up and he has only been there for a season and even they have financial troubles, their team will probably look better this upcoming season than last. He probably will want to be part of it.

If that happens, I’ll print out this post and eat it.

Dortmund tend to only let one star leave per season.

I know.

Thankfully reports are suggesting it was the previous tenure that wanted Rice and not Tuchel himself, If there is any English midfielder we should prioritize its Bellingham, but this is under the assumption Gallagher doesn't make an impression.

Gleison Bremer a new name to be linked as a defensive signing. Seria A defendernof the year, 25 years old and a physical unit from Brazil via Torino.

Defensive tank but not too sure how he is on the ball. Whoscored has his passing as a weakness.

“I am told Chelsea are in negotiations with Koulibaly’s agent speaking about the deal.

Chelsea are happy with Napoli’s valuation. This is all on what the player decides to do, but he’s open to joining Chelsea.”

#Chelsea have offered Kalidou Koulibaly a contract worth around £165,000-a-week to make the move to Stamford Bridge. He is valued at €40m

I see that Benfica have just announced they have sold their attacking player to the net spend champions, Liverpool FC.

75M that could rise up to 100M. Really don't know what was Benfica thinking of when announced the official numbers. Pretty sure that Liverpool Echo and The Times had already their articles ready at 45M, maybe 50M, with the deal rising to 100M written somewhere in the article where no one would be bothered to read.

Liverpool still spending the Coutinho money wisely I guess 🙂

If we are to replace Rudiger, Koulibaly seems the way to go. I am not 100% convinced on Kounde due to his height. But if we get Koulibaly as well it would balance things out a bit. Remember we are losing Alonso as well who is excellent in air.

A cheaper option than Kounde. Sevillas price just too high so we are seeking alternatives.

I hope that Chelsea put a July 10 cutoff date to trying to sign Kounde, especially after Sevilla dicked them around last summer. Keep plan B, C and D warm to avoid settling for leftovers at the end of the window.

€40m valuation, 1yr left on his contract, 31yrs old in a week’s time, and spent the last 8yrs in Serie A. Now what could go wrong?

Why don’t we buy back one of Tomori/Guehi back and have a CB for the next decade if we are buying 2 CB’s.

We've always been reported after two options. Not sure how you've concluded this means Koulibaly is a replacement for Kounde.

Both right sided players I believe.

40m is a bit steep

just get him on a free next year

He'll be 32 by then. He's not like Thiago Silva, he's a CB that relies on his pace, he won't have that much longer.
