I wish it was actually real and not just to get the price up. 

The same people on here that were moaning for months about going after Rice for 70m due to the money are rejoicing spending 130m on a player that has played 13 league games in the 7th best league in Europe, couldn't make this up. 

Not disputing he'll likely end up being a good player but the money mentioned is ludicrous.

I wasn't "bemoaning" Rice due to the money, it was because I don't think he's good enough unless we revert back to counter attacking football and that's before I get into the excuses he has made while playing for England.

Wasn't aimed solely at you, there's plenty on here that's used price tag as a reason to not pursue Rice.

I didn't want us to spend 150m on Rice in the hope he develops a skill set he hasn't shown before.

He is a technically good player, and would give us some goals in the middle of the park. He isn’t going to start for us though even if we assume we get rid of Kante, RLC & Jorginho in the summer. He will just be a depth player on the bench on £100k+, as he isn’t starting ahead of Kovacic. He's a carbon copy of Mount. He'd just be surplus imo. 

I agree. We need another CM ontop of Enzo if we get him.

Even if we don't sign him I am just glad that it's been sufficient as a diversion so that Boehly didn’t sign Ronaldo. We enough of a laughing stock as it is.

Given we spent 62mill on Cucurella and Caidieo is valued at 75mill that price tag seems unlikely.

Is he not another winger/wide forward? I am with @Sconnie BlueI think this is coming from the player/shaktar to pressure Arsenal.

I don't know this screams like a smokescreen. We allegedly have Leao as our numbers 1 winger priority, along with all but secured the signing of Zakharyan. 

This feels like leaks from Shaktar's end to get Arsenal to up their bid. This is the type of sh*t we would've done last summer, not under Vivell, Stewart, etc.
