December 28, 20223 yr I know flavour of the month because of the World Cup but surely €120m is too much? That’s a massive fee. Was he that highly rated before the World Cup? Crazy money.

Crazy money. Agreed, we need to move away from silly money deals. We have the super duper friends all appointed now, time for them to earn their keep.
December 30, 20223 yr I was waiting for Shaktar to use us to get Arsenal to pay more and here it is: https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2022/12/30/23532538/chelsea-could-hijack-arsenals-move-for-mykhailo-mudryk-report

January 1, 20233 yr The same people on here that were moaning for months about going after Rice for 70m due to the money are rejoicing spending 130m on a player that has played 13 league games in the 7th best league in Europe, couldn't make this up. Not disputing he'll likely end up being a good player but the money mentioned is ludicrous.

I wasn't "bemoaning" Rice due to the money, it was because I don't think he's good enough unless we revert back to counter attacking football and that's before I get into the excuses he has made while playing for England. January 1, 20233 yr I didn't want us to spend 150m on Rice in the hope he develops a skill set he hasn't shown before.

He isn’t going to start for us though even if we assume we get rid of Kante, RLC & Jorginho in the summer. He will just be a depth player on the bench on £100k+, as he isn’t starting ahead of Kovacic. I’d rather we spend the money on Rice or any other DM to act as a foil for Enzo assuming he ends up here, giving us some physicality in the middle.

He'd just be surplus imo. I agree. We need another CM ontop of Enzo if we get him.

Even if we don't sign him I am just glad that it's been sufficient as a diversion so that Boehly didn’t sign Ronaldo. We enough of a laughing stock as it is.

January 2, 20233 yr This morning reports are that Chelsea are looking for a penalty box specialist ST in January. Anyone else getting absolutely fed up? Just who exactly from our team is going to deliver these chances? Why don't we f**king recall Lukaku then? I genuinely hope this is just recycled media bollocks as this is what I expect from the former regime. SORT OUT THE MIDFIELD.

January 3, 20233 yr 🚨 Mudryk - Chelsea, It’s understood negotiations are moving in the right direction. (@JacobSteinberg) #CFC Quite a good source but I can’t see us over paying considering what we’ve already spent. Imagine it’s just to push Arsenals price up as they’re trying to low ball them a little.

I am with @Sconnie BlueI think this is coming from the player/shaktar to pressure Arsenal.
January 4, 20233 yr #Chelsea are ready to offer €80M to #Shakthar to overtake #Arsenal and to try to sign Mykhaylo #Mudryk, who agreed personal terms with #AFC for a contract until 2028 (5,5M/year + bonuses) since 3 months ago. #CFC will offer a rich salary (7,5M) to convince the winger. #transfers
January 4, 20233 yr Really feels like this new owner is just throwing money at tonnes of targets and hoping it somehow makes a well-balanced squad. Ain't gunna work.
January 4, 20233 yr I don't know this screams like a smokescreen. We allegedly have Leao as our numbers 1 winger priority, along with all but secured the signing of Zakharyan. This feels like leaks from Shaktar's end to get Arsenal to up their bid. This is the type of sh*t we would've done last summer, not under Vivell, Stewart, etc.
