January 21, 20233 yr Might Potter turn to his old club and nab Evan Ferguson before the Jan window closes? We need a striker, and this lad looks like he could be the real deal...

January 21, 20233 yr Why don't we try to sign Elyes Skhiri from Koln as a DM? Cheap, class with the ball and tall. He's the best DM in German League imo.

January 22, 20233 yr I trust Vivell and Winstanley to come up with the goods. Mudryk, Felix and Badiashile have all been good debutants with huge potential on their side.

January 22, 20233 yr Some rumours that we might be open to a deal with Barcelona with Ziyech going there and Kessie coming to us. If Ziyech leaves I would rather he went outside Premier League, and Kessie would provide us with more physical presence in midfield. Thoughts?

This lot will try to do a loan swap only, presumably with us paying Kessie's wages and Ziyech's. I also would rather he didn't stay in England and whilst I thought the Spuds rumour was bogus a swap for Bissouma would be appealing.

It is odd that Spuds have used Bissouma so sparingly.

January 22, 20233 yr Not the greatest sources of this bit we have apparently offered Zyiech to Barca in a straight swap for Franck Kiesse. This coming after it is reported we failed with the same offer to Spurs for Bissouma. Gotta rumour those trades American sports love right?
January 23, 20233 yr I’m wondering what the background of the Felix loan is. it doesn’t make sense for 6 months imo. I think come the end of the season there will be a swap option to make the loan permanent. Maybe Havertz? I think he’d do well in Spain and he seems more of a Simeone type than Felix is. If we sign Enzo then there isn’t a chance we pay a transfer fee for Felix no matter how well he does. I’d be miffed if we give him game time and he ends up at a rival next season

January 24, 20233 yr UEFA close the ability to defer transfers over long contracts from this summer. Fees can only be deferred over a maximum of 5 years. It doesn’t affect Chelsea’s business up to now but will have a negative effect on future windows. I thought it likely this would happen. I hope the board saw it coming too
January 24, 20233 yr We don’t even get time to post “it’s happening” or “48 hours” with our transfers anymore!

Uefa have sh*t themselves so much they're changing the rules from Summer. With Arsenal tying Trossard up for 2.5 years it means they're paying the same for him as we are for Mudryk for FFP 😂 Edited January 24, 20233 yr by RIP Mourinho

Just imagine if we had Lukaku on a 7 or 8 year deal on his wages. This is good if the players end up good, whcih is always a bit of a risk with younger players that are still developing.

I confess to not knowing much about financial stuff. I do know that Mudryk is a much better player though.

We're also paying £7k a week more in wages (£97k/£90k) to Mudryk, like you say though he's head and shoulders the better player. Best bit of business we've done since the Fabregas/Costa window.
January 28, 20233 yr I'm wondering why are we not in for Tielemans. Seems like a perfect stopgap signing with huge potential upside. He'd be an upgrade on Jorgi and he can score from midfield. Then bring on Enzo/Caicedo or whatever and we'd have decent options in the middle

He seems to be one of those players that only plays well when the team is in full flow. When things get tough, he goes missing and doesn't seem to put in anywhere near as much effort.
