He'd be an upgrade on Jorgi and he can score from midfield. Then bring on Enzo/Caicedo or whatever and we'd have decent options in the middle I mentioned this the other week - I’d take him all day long. Would think he’d be fairly cheap too as he’s out of contract in the summer
January 28, 20233 yr Still at the shortlist of @ChelseaFC: Oliver Glasner. Very good tactical performance again at the 1:1 of Frankfurt against @FCBayern. Chelsea knocked on Glasner’s door already in summer. Boehly will have been very impressed with how Glasner won the Europa League with Frankfurt Seems to be a new name..

He seems to be one of those players that only plays well when the team is in full flow. When things get tough, he goes missing and doesn't seem to put in anywhere near as much effort. He's also the only one in Leicester who can be called a good player. You put Ronaldo Nazario in that team and he'd look average

February 1, 20233 yr Right then - we haven't signed anyone for about 4 hours, so lets get back to work. Who do we bring in next?

"Well done on Enzo, Paul. A world record fee, shaking up the establishment. Excellent. Mudryk, Felix as well. 600m spent in 6 months wow. Brilliant, well done" Winstanley: "You know we need a striker right!". " and the goalkeeper question is still out there"
February 2, 20233 yr Is anyone like me and just wants us to sign Nkunku, Felix and a GK in the summer? I'd quite like a few weeks off thinking aboit football.

For me i would really like Felix in. Maybe Diogo Costa and then trading players out. I would be buzzing if these guys could trim down teh dquad without massively undercutting ourselves just to shut these media muppets down. Jorginho for example is a good bit of business whichever way you look at it. 6 months left on his contract, serial winner with the club. We have had teh benefit of that and still moved him on at is age and contract position for £12m. Lukaku of course may well be the elephant in the room come the summer
February 2, 20233 yr If Conte is still at Spurs next season and they sell Kane then maybe we might be able to shift Lukaku to them.

I still think we need another real midfielder that would rotate with Enzo and Kante. I'm out of patience with Kovacic, and do not think Gallagher is good enough. That aside, agree and think it needs to be a balanced with plenty of sales in the summer Edited February 4, 20233 yr by PhilH930
February 5, 20233 yr So I’m reading SS football, and we are gonna go all in on Napoli’s Osihmen, ok ok ok, Nkunku is done and dusted, where the f**k will he play, Osihmen yea he’s a striker? I know we are gonna play to Thiagos strengths 3 at the back, 7 forwards, who needs a midfield 😱🫣

February 5, 20233 yr Call me crazy, but I think spending over 100m on Osihmen will be reminiscent to how we operated in the past on brining in big money strikers, and for that reason alone I'm against it. Rather we remain patient and develop what we or until the right ST becomes available.
February 7, 20233 yr Auba, PEA. . . rumours that he’s going to LA FC. Any truth? And would the American schedule allow him to be registered? The MLS season begins at the end of FEB and the transfer window is open to April.

February 8, 20233 yr Hope we pass on Diogo Costa. From what i've seen, far too similar in Kepa with regards to his shot stopping ability and ability to command the box.
February 8, 20233 yr BREAKING NEWS: Chelsea have now reached an agreement to loan Aubameyang to Los Angeles FC for the remainder of the campaign. . . .there is loop hole even though he has played for two clubs already, etc. Chelsea will cover his wages? but at least we won't see his mopey face around the club. the curse of the no.9. Apparently Auba has yet to agree to the deal. But Chelsea want shot of him quicker than you can say Winston Bogarde.

Assuming we haven't pissed off PSG to the point we're blacklisted I'd absolutely love for us to sign Keylor Navas. Perfect option not only while Slonina develops but to add some experience to the flurry of younger signings.

In any MLS loan i think we would have to pay the majority of his wages, although not all. I feel a little sorry for him and his big sad Horsey face, but he was a Tuchel purchase and he has little meaning in our current squad. Even with Broja injured and Havertz not being the best 'false 9'. Edited February 8, 20233 yr by TheCeleryKing

Even with Broja injured and Havertz not being the best 'false 9'. That whole first window was a giant mess made by Todd and Tuchel. None of those first team signings should have been made, Zakaria being the only decent bit of business and Auba the most ridiculous given we had already decided to sack TT. Won't be able to shift the rest other than taking huge losses. Hopefully this window is a whole lot better. Badiashile already look rather good.

Badiashile has looked great and yet he failed to make the CL squad. We went with K2. I am not as down Koulibaly as most folks seem to be. He is handy player and a good tackler and and a good stopper, but if you are trying to play the ball out at the back then he is not the player you want/need AND we are a playing style where we are trying to play the ball out at the back. Koulibaly most likely to leave in the summer at a loss. Gvaridol the player that we most want. . . .and i had this really strange dream where we had spent 70 million quid on Wesley Fofana. Weird. lol. Zakaria is really decent, although the phrase 'injury prone' keeps coming to mind. Chukwuemeka has shown potential also. As a squad player for sure. Andrey Santos the latest young superstar to be brought in. Buying up lots of young players on long term contracts is a gamble Todd has done before at his LA sports team. It does work at well in the end. Is Potter the manager for young players? is that the idea behind Potter? and when we lose Dave and god forbid Thiago who will be our 'leaders' on the pitch?
