Remember going up in a mates motor- go north from Liverpool town centre and the sign posts tell you Everton is around the Scotland Road area, just outside the city centre- EFC have never actually been based there- Goodison’s a couple of miles up the road in Walton. One of the geysers in the car whose now no longer with us piped up with “ So Everton aren’t in Everton. Where the .... are Liverpool then, Lower Morden?”

June 9, 20197 yr That was a really decent Everton at the time ,in fact for a couple of seasons to be fair , they placed some superb football . i always enjoyed going there especially in the seats as that terrace was about 2 feet deep ! ?

Didn't Everton win league in 85 and 87, remember a mate of mine found an Everton grey away shirt left behind in a school changing room around 84, he couldn't find whose it was and sold it to me for £5 as I liked the shirt, wore it down the park next day for football training, it didn't seem right wearing another teams shirt, so next day sold it to someone else at school, went back to my le coq sportif Chelsea shirt.
