Any game recommendation?

This may be the game that I was hoping Just Cause 2 would be. Such a promising game, so disappointing.

I'll have to check FC3 out down the road, haven't played much with the kid here. I did download Journey the other day on sale, excited to experience that!

This video is very popular so I'm not surprised if you've all seen it, but anyone who played Zelda back in the day will enjoy it:

They've also done one for Assassin's Creed:

hEnded up buying Far Cry 3 because it was on sale here.  Only got past the first mission before I quit, although I was very tired (being a father isn't quite as easy as "Mad Men" led me to believe....).  Hope it stops the handholding and I can get into it more next time.

At some point I'll probably get Far Cry 3. I haven't played two and never beat one though, so I'm reluctant to just jump in a series without starting from the beginning...

Worry not ace. It's just the first mission that 'holds your hand', to get the game going.

After that you can do whatever the hell you want. Explore the island, go hunting for game, hang gliding, jet skiiing, take over a few pirate strongolds, do side missions. You'll love it, i guarantee.

So NHL starting today and the hockey hype has gotten into me, NHL 12 or NHL 13, is there any real major difference - will only play SP career and so on.

Pretty deep into Far Cry 3 but haven't had as much time to play it in the past week or so.  But so far it is a very cool game.  Decent story, and a good amount of challenging missions.  But the side missions are pretty fun.  ON the 1st Island I've done all the side missions, bought all the maps, and am collecting every relic, letter, and loot chest.  When I started getting bored with the side ventures, I'd go back into the main mission to lliven things up again.

have to admit I like the use of the natural resources to gain goodies, makes it kinda fun.

Just a few more treasures on the first island to get, but I've already taken the journey over to the second Island, and the guys are MUCH harder to beat, so it's as if the second part has upped the ante a little.

Indeed. I was rather shocked at how much harder the goons on the second island are. Good though, shakes things up a bit; i found i had to use explosives a lot more on the second island.

I've completed the main story, but i haven't done many of the side missions or bought any of the maps yet. Gonna have a good go at it tonight!

Bought Far Cry a couple of days ago. Wasnt planning on buying it but after reading your comments I couldn't resist.

So far I'm quite impressed. Cant seem to play it for long periods of time though, i get fed up after an hour or so but I always seem to come back to it. One thing I wouldnt of minded seeing is a bit of choice in dialogue so you can have different relations with each character a bit like Mass Effect. But thats just me. I seem to want that in all the games I play!

Just completed the the main game,

HINT:  Save your work right before the final mission.

I like that when all is said and done you can actually go back and keep roaming the island.  I have a few more side missions (mainly the path of hunter and wanted dead trials_ but still have about 30 relics and a few of the letters to collect.

I was collecting all the treasures too, but I kept having to go and buy all the add ons for all my weapons and then customizing them all to empty my wallet

A few couple of games coming out in March that might be worth picking up, serious lack of game releases until autumn/winter from here on now. (Might be due to the new gen coming)

In march;

Tomb Raider

Bioshock Infinite

End Game expansion to Battlefield

and surprisingly Sim City 5 which looks great and can now be played coop.

Also if you play on pc and buy games via steam/origin or a shop be sure to check out http://www.greenmangaming.com/ as its so much cheaper + there is a 20 % promotion code available now until 1st of march!

Basically you get a code emailed to you once you purchase and you just redeem it on steam/origin and it downloads.

I was excited by Sim City 5 until I saw how much they're selling it for (min. £45 on PC). That's extortionate for a PC game and there's no way I'm paying that.

Use the site I posted and redeem the code and it should cost around £35. It's the limited edition not sure if theres a normal version though which could be cheaper.

Bioshock is the only one of those games I'm really interested in but I've a medium sized backlog to get me through what looks to be a long spring and summer with not too many releases.

Having a blast on Forza 4, just snapped it up, only about a year and a half late to the party!

Trying to save every credit I earn for the sake of purchasing a big Holden V8, the bloody thing costs 900,000 though, so it will take me an age.

There's a massive Xbox like sale on at the moment for anyone looking to pick up any older games they missed out on.

Such as forza 4.......

Does anybody here play Toger Woods 13 on PS3?

I haven't tried it since I had 10 on the X-Box and its a bit more difficult but its pretty good, me and my bruv play it over the net and hes set up a Country Club if anyone fancys joining.

I haven't played a PGA game since 11, spent far too much time on it but eventually got a bit bored after getting too good at it.

If you're that good you're not welcome anyway

I regularly averaged around 18/19 under Par on the 10, my Brothers a bit more consistent and moans if hes worse than minus 20 but I'm struggling with the 13, all new swing dynamics and distance control, the online games are difficult as there's people never doing anything but Birdies and Eagles, I reckon they've doctered their controllers.

If you get bored enough to try 13, let me know and you can join the Country Club.
