Any game recommendation?

It's an older game but is still pretty fantastic.

They're making a live-action film out of this story. If you ask me, it's one of the few video game adaptations I can actually see working well.

Wolfenstein new order out next week (Tuesday for some reason) and it looks bloody excellent.

Think I know what I am getting next then

Im still holding off buying either of the new machines. Not enough choice of games out so you are forced to buy each new one just to have something new to play.

It will take a very special game that will only be on the PS4 or XB1 for me to buy one anytime soon.

It's not a console game but has anyone else here played Cards Against Humanity?

I was introduced to it yesterday and found it hilarious. You feel terrible afterwards as it's not exactly 'family friendly' but we had a great laugh!

Anyone picking up Wolfenstein: The New Order?

I'm dubious about paying out £50 for what looks a pretty generic shooter.

I've been playing a bit of Payday 2 this last week, it was one of the Playstation plus games for this month and it's a pretty fun online co-operative heist game.

I was thinking about it but it's single player only (not that I have an issue with that) but the campaign is only 12 hours, according to IGN.

There is nothing that is particular new or engaging about it, as a shooter, as you said. But the whole "this is what would happen if the Nazis had won WWII" story looks fun.

I think I'll wait till it's around £20 before getting it.

I'm leaning the same way... I'm holding out for Watch Dogs at the end of the month although I'm waiting on the reviews first.

I've got £40 store credit for CEX after trading in inFamous last month so I'm planning on using that to pick up one of the two.

As fun as Wolfenstein looks though I just don't see myself getting £50 worth of play time out of it, I would probably finish the campaign once and never touch it again.

My feelings exactly. I did that with the latest Max Payne.

Watch_Dogs is my next buy too. It will get good reviews, mark my words! It's such a clever concept, being able to hack everything, looks incredible. Can't see it scoring lower than 8 out of 10.

The six month delay worries me... IGN have already said that with their limited hands on time their main concern is that is doesn't move away from the formula of go here, watch cut scene, take something somewhere... Rinse repeat.

If the hacking tool isn't more than a gimmick then I think it's going to feel like GTA-Lite which is why I haven't pre-ordered.

Just in case any of you guys are unsure which of the many versions of Watch Dogs to buy.

Ha ha, I was only looking earlier today, I think I read that internationally there are 9 different editions of the game being released... If the game is sh*t that's a whole lot of marketing time wasted.

In other news, the first game play trailer for Arkham Knight went up today... I'm a huge fan of the Arkham series so I'm really excited for this one.

I did read that bit, yes. But every sandbox game follows that structure anyway, pretty much.

The 6 month delay can only have helped it, I'm glad they didn't rush it out. I have high hopes for the hacking, it's a new concept and will surely be more refreshing than GTA, which hasn't changed all that much over the years.

I think my problem is that no games for the new consoles have gotten rave reviews yet, there have been some good games but no "must have" game yet with a lot of the reviews seeming a bit underwhelmed, I don't think any game has yet made full use of the new consoles abilities so I'm just feeling a bit cynical about it all.

Watch Dogs is multi-platform as well so I think until the games are next gen exclusives you're not going to get something truly epic and original... but hopefully I'm proven wrong.

I got wolfenstein yesterday and had an hour or so on it, its been pretty good so far but a bit generic. Apparently it really gets going later in the game, but so far so good. Only problem I have is there's too much ammo and health about on normal level, wish in had started on a bit harder. But I traded in a game and had money on a card so only cost me about a fiver.

wait a second, if i buy a certain edition I get more features in some areas, but less in others? I.e I can't pause the game if I buy the extreme edition? Why on earth...

Please say I've interpreted it wrongly

It was a joke article.

Has anyone ever heard of a game called Pyst? It's a parody of a puzzle game called Myst which was apparently the highest-selling PC game ever until the release of the Sims.

I've never played it, but read today that John Goodman plays quite a large role as 'King Mattruss', and provides not only his voice and image, but also sings the theme song:

Payday 2 is a great game. I really wish more people i know had got it.

I always get put in games with noobs who trip all the alarms and dont cover the right spots.

I had to play the "Rats" mission solo because everyone always f**ks up the Meth cook by not listening to what ingredients are needed.

I've accepted that playing with randoms every heist is going to be about going in guns blazing because there will always be at least one person who ruins it.
