July 2, 201511 yr Anybody else play Elder Scrolls Online on the console? I think the whole idea of MMO's on consoles is very good, finding it really enjoyable.

July 2, 201511 yr Just been reading upcoming games for this year, there's some good ones: - Star Wars - Metal Gear Solid - Just Cause 3 - Asassins Creed - Tony Hawks 5 - Dead Island 2 That's without the normal FIFA, Pes, COD annual games. I honestly can't think how I'm going to be able to play all of these games. The PS4 is finally starting to come to life, the first 18 months have been really slow. Glad it's picking up.
July 3, 201511 yr Starting to bored of the Witcher. The main storyline is boring..just errands to find information from people about where Ciri is. The side missions are the best.

Assassins creed should be in with Fifa CoD etc as it comes out every year like clockwork as well! I can't believe you've missed out fallout 4 from the list!
July 3, 201511 yr Is it not just a series of fetch quests? I love Elder Scrolls but got completely put off by how boring the reviews were making it sound. Personally if I bought this for PC and was a big fan of MMO's I would be disappointed. It's not in the same class as the likes of AION or Star Wars Galaxies in its prime etc. But for console I think it really fits the bill, I mainly play these sorts of games for PVP anyway. The whole levelling system is pretty easy until you reach the higher ranks but nothing is majorly off putting about the game for me. I think it's very good, it wouldn't be a success on consoles if it shared the usual MMO combat systems, they've based the combat system off the elder scrolls games as much as they can. I think they've done a good job on it. I enjoy the game quite honestly, great if you're a console gamer but if you're a PC gamer and like MMO's then no, because there are much better ones out there.
July 7, 201511 yr 18 minutes of uninterrupted No Man's Sky footage released today. I want this. Look so good!
July 7, 201511 yr Currently at 98% completion with Arkham Knight. All main and side quests are done I've just got about 35 more of the 240 odd Riddler trophies left to get and then I'll have the 100% completion. Going to play it through on new game plus and do all the AR challenge maps to get the Platinum trophy for it. Been such a great game and they've done really well tying up the trilogy.
July 7, 201511 yr Currently enjoying MLB2k11 on the 360, doing a Texas Rangers franchise. Mixing it up with a bit of Ice Hockey and Battlefield 4 at times as well. For all those awaiting Star Wars... DICE's Star Wars Battlefront feels like a half-assed Battlefield mod Not the Battlefront you're looking for Ever since the announcement that EA's DICE studio would be developing Star Wars Battlefront, fans of the series -- myself included -- have feared it will be "Star Wars Battlefield" and it seems like our fears have come true. The battle of Hoth I partook in seemed unlike any other iteration of the scene from any previous Star Wars game. The battlefield was more of a straight corridor rather than the wide open space I was used to. AT-ATs lumber in a straight line towards their goal through an area with snowy trenches, cliffs, and turrets while the rebels forces try to stop them. AT-ATs can be taken down by disabling their shields and shooting them on foot, or more quickly by using tow cables on Snowspeeders in flight; easier said than done. Air support has to be called in by finding tokens placed throughout the battlefield that randomly give you either a special weapon or a ship to fly, thus removing the need to rush for a vehicle to have the chance to pilot one. The flying mechanics feel a bit better than Battlefield games, where I typically can only stay in the air a few moments before crashing, but the hit detection was sh*t. As I flew my Y-Wing around Hoth, I tried to get a bit closer to the ground to lay down some fire for my comrades below and my ship inexplicably exploded -- I was told I'd killed myself. I'd estimate that I was at least 100 feet off the ground, so I'm not sure what I could have possible collided with. Upon starting each spawn you can select from loadouts, of which we had two to choose from. A primary weapon can be selected, and then the actual loadout is basically support options including: grenades, bubble shields, and short-use jetpacks. One particular option let you lob three explosives a great distance and this was typically an instant kill if aimed correctly. I fell to this the most. Gun-wise, there were a few different blasts available, none of which felt much different in third-person view, but had different scopes in first-person view. The former option felt similar to the old games: holding the left trigger allowed you to focus your shot while slowing down your movement speed. First person felt ripped from Battlefield, with aiming down sights or through scopes. In one of the trailers it shows swapping seamlessly from third person to first, but I couldn't figure out how to do it for the life of me other than using a menu, only taking effect after respawning. Aim assist was on by default which had the crosshair sticking to enemies and turning red whenever aiming relatively close to one of them, which would be fine except for most shots miss if they are moving. This aim assist issue happened in both third and first person, causing me to have to fight with aim assist to try to line up shots for moving targets. After turning it off it felt a bit better, so perhaps for less advanced players it will be a great option, but more serious players will want to shut it off. I found myself dying far more often than I remember in classic Battlefront games, and that has been a problem for me in Battlefield games as well. Indicators that you're taking damage aren't obvious enough and by the time you do realize you're taking fire, you're dead. While there is a health meter that ticks down, I still felt like I was dying nearly instantly as if I were playing a Battlefield game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXU5k4U8x20 The demo I played was presented on PlayStation 4, and the amount of graphics popping in just a few feet ahead of my character was disturbing. I realize this is an early build but it was still shocking. There was a choice between locking the game to 30 frames per second and having better graphics or playing at 60fps. I didn't get a chance to test if the pop-in still happened at 30fps before the battle was over, but I certainly don't want to play a shooter at 30fps in 2015. Overall I wasn't impressed with what little time I spent with DICE's Star Wars Battlefront. It really did feel like a half-assed mod slapped onto Battlefield 4, and I'm surprised modders haven't created something better already. That being said the game was still enjoyable -- it looked and sounded like Star Wars -- but this is not the Battlefront you're looking for. http://www.destructoid.com/dice-s-star-wars-battlefront-feels-like-a-half-assed-battlefield-mod-294292.phtml
July 7, 201511 yr Completed Arkham Knight just got to find the damn riddler trophies. Brilliant game.
July 7, 201511 yr Anyone getting the new F1 game this week? I've got a mate who works for Codemasters and he normally gets me a copy for £15 which is brilliant. I probably wouldn't pay £40 for it butcas it's cheap, I'll take a copy. Flipping difficult games though..killer.
July 8, 201511 yr 10 more Riddler trophies to go, fairly sure they are all on Founders' Island but struggling to find Riddler thugs to interrogate to find the locations. Should hopefully finish that part tonight and then I'll make a start on the AR challenges. Edited July 8, 201511 yr by ForeverCarefree

I loved playing those games with a group of mates but they removed a game mode online where you can have a mini league of multiple races and it tallies the overall score at the end. If they brought that mode back I will be interested!
July 8, 201511 yr That robot football game on the ps store at the moment is a laugh absolutely mental.
July 9, 201511 yr Arkham Knight 100% done. Got the final 10 Riddler trophies last night and beat Riddler in the resulting stand off. All criminals defeated and locked up and Knightfall Protocol initiated to get the game's ending which I thought was really well done. Making a start on the AR Challenges now, aiming to 3 star them all I've done about a quarter of them so far. When I've done then I'll begin new game plus and do the random stuff for the PSN trophies and then I'll have the Platinum.
July 9, 201511 yr ^ You're a machine. You ARE the Batman! What will you be playing next once you have Platinum-ed it? Not much else out at the moment.
July 9, 201511 yr Dunno, thinking of getting the DLC for Arkham Knight if its any good. Next game I want is Mad Max but that doesn't come out until September so it's a bit slim pickings right now. Thinking of picking up Dark Souls 2. I didn't play it a huge amount on PS3 and you can sink a lot of time into those.
July 11, 201511 yr Struggling to keep going with the Witcher 3, the story is just too long and repetitive. Fetch this, do that..the main story is the worst part of it. I'm on the verge of going to Skelliedge (or however you spell it) so hoping that gets me liking it again.

I'm on the verge of going to Skelliedge (or however you spell it) so hoping that gets me liking it again. I haven't been to Skellige yet either, though I'm about to. Still really into the game. I do more Witcher contracts and secondary quests than the main story overall.
July 13, 201511 yr I was a big fan of Burnout until EA bought out the developers and ruined them. So true, real shame. I still play Burnout Revenge and Takedown. Nowadays GRID is the only good racing game and even they messed up with GRID 2.
July 15, 201511 yr Quite enjoying Rocket League on PS4. Really addictive free game on PSplus. Looks great fun, I will be getting this on your recommendation alone, bear!
