i have been living in australia since i was 15 and im only 22 now but what an honour to get a photo next to a statue of peter osgood, one thing we have always miss as a club is having a statue of a true,true,trueeee great ! and for peter to be honoured is amazing but my question is, we have become so successful that do we have anyone you single out as someone who deserves to mentioned with the great peter osgood

 

the obvious choices are Terry Drogba, Lampard.

 

Zola.

 

Chopper.

 

Jose maybe even Robbie !

 

 

zola in my personal opinion is the obvious choice, closely followed by frank but that just an opinion, i would love another couple around the whole ground but we'll see what happens !

Drogba deserves one.  Does anyone remember that truly awful monstrosity of a statue outside the hotel round the other side of the ground?  Outside what is now Frankie's and Marco's?  It was of some fans if I remember correctly.  A couple of men and a kid.  A real eye sore.

I'd be in favour of a statue for Mickey but sadly Bruce buck and co dont have a clue who the terrace legend is.

Well...if the club plans to put any benches around the Bridge, I would put a statue of Bogarde on it.

The only player who deserves one other than Ossie, is Ron Harris - 655 Chelsea appearances, most of them as captain, and he put in 100% in every one of 'em.

 

 

It's also be great to have an action statue of DH or Babs kicking the sh*t out of a Spuds fan.

The statue could be made out of solid gold, and it'd still be cheaper than having the real thing there.

I'm sure we've had a thread about this before, and I am equally convinced I put forward the view that statues should only be erected to people who have died.

 

 And as soon as Chopper has shuffled off this mortal coil (no rush, though, Chopper) he should have a statue.

 

Unless I am suffering from a déjà vu in advance sort of thing, in which case I want next week's lottery numbers, please.
