April 25, 201511 yr They'll moan they werent backed by a sugar daddy though.. Which funnily enough they were actually. Henry Norris who was the owner of Woolwhich Arsenal cheated and bribed Arsenal into division 1. After that they had a cash injection from the cotton slave trade which they proceeded to sign the best English players at the time such as Malcolm Mcdonald and Paul Marriner. The whole debate about sugar daddies and cash injection doesn't wash with me. All football clubs to this day who have been successful has been achieved from financial background, money has always played its part in football for years. Don't let any other fan tell you this club doesn't deserve to be where it's at. Edited April 25, 201511 yr by Sloth
April 25, 201511 yr Wouldn't swap the kid for Messi & Ronaldo, he will win the Ballon d'or one day, and once Messi & Ronaldo start to decline, Hazard will be the best in the world.

It's the fundamental flaw in FFP - teams don't start on a level playing field so how can they compete with these restrictions?
April 25, 201511 yr Don't forget the Moore's family that bankrolled Liverpool throughout the 70's and 80's

April 25, 201511 yr Don't forget the Moore's family that bankrolled Liverpool throughout the 70's and 80's I always quote that up here in't north, when't scousers get upitty :)
April 25, 201511 yr For me it's always the Arsenal young fans that always go on about the invincible season, the ones who didn't see it happening. The ones that did see it happen know it wasn't really that great, especially the ones that saw United's treble season and Chelsea's first season under Mourinho. Besides being undefeated in the league despite drawing a sh*t load of games and the Pires dive they weren't exactly invincible. Invincible is the term I would use for Pep's Barcelona in its prime when they could just wipe the floor with any team they played. Well, apart from one team. Their name escapes me at the moment. Arsenal lost six games in that 'invincible' season, so they weren't really that invincible. We've lost half that amount this season. Regardless of all that drivel they regurgitate about Wenger's footballing principles, they also got very negative near the end and were content to cling onto their 0 with lots of draws.
April 26, 201511 yr "If Real Madrid want him, I think I would be the first one to know, but if they do it would be £100m for each leg." "I don't believe they are trying to sign him because they didn't tell me. My relationship with their President and with the CEO doesn't give space for something to happen behind my back. I trust them completely. If they want him they get on the telephone and they call me to tell me they want him." Mourinho wasn't done there, though. He made sure to heap plenty of praise on the Belgian for his attitude, and the way he plays the game: "He wants to be a special player and a normal person. In football it's a lot the culture now of being a special player and a special person. This is not him." "He's a fantastic boy, a golden boy. The way he behaves, the way he wants to be, the way he respects people, even the way he respects opponents. He doesn't cheat. He doesn't dive. Nothing. So I think, even for opponents, I think he's a fantastic kid." There you go. Every player has his price and for Hazard it's £200m+. I think that's pretty fair.
April 26, 201511 yr There you go. Every player has his price and for Hazard it's £200m+. I think that's pretty fair. That's funny, I just read somewhere that Jose said he would cost 100m for each leg(200m) and one in three of Madrid's best players. ;). Can't find it now though. Guess that means hazard is going nowhere soon if Mou has his way.
April 26, 201511 yr I love the idea of £100 per leg, what about the head lool £200 I think we will end up selling each part separate

April 26, 201511 yr I wonder if there's been a player of the year who didn't win a player of the month award before.
