December 9, 201312 yr The problem is he was even younger last year but played in a much more consistent manner. Instead of beating a man and getting past the back line this season he looks like he's always going to cut inside trying to do everything himself. I disagree, I don't think hazard is selfish enough, he has the skill and pace to beat players, but a lot of the time he chooses to play a pass instead of trying to beat a man or have a shot.
December 18, 201312 yr Hazard has been a bit frustrating at times since he joined us but last night he was unbelievably good. Seeing him perform like that, is why football is so popular and why people will part with hard earned cash to watch it. You would never tire of watching Hazard in that kind of form, ripping the opposition defence to shreds and having the end product to match. As others have said, just hope last night is a sign of things to come as he has been fairly hit and miss this season but when he is in that kind of form, he is our match winner. It seems that it's back to the frustrating Hazard again. Don't want to rip into him for last night when he was only on for 10 minutes but he came on at 1-0 and as good a sub as it looked at the time it completely backfired. He did very little when a player of his ability should have helped us kick on and see the game out. Since his 10/10 performance a few weeks back it's almost as though he is resting on his laurels and it's sooooo frustrating. Unfortunately all of our flair players seem to suffer the same inconsistancy - one good game followed by a number of indifferent performances. Hazard, Scurrle, Mata, Oscar, KDB (when given a chance) and Willian (who has been the pick but currently just seems to lack the end product). All of them have to do more, but especially Hazard.
December 18, 201312 yr The difference with Hazard is he is playing week in week out regardless of performances whereas the likes of Schurrle and Mata are getting rotated regardless. Hazard needs to repay that faith Jose is showing in him by coming up with the goods more consistently.
December 18, 201312 yr When Mata plays, Eden is a whole new beast. His inconsistency is frustrating though.
December 18, 201312 yr Mata isn't inconsistent when played behind the striker, don't like him out wide. Most young players especially in the attacking areas our inconsistent. Schurrle just turned 23,Hazard 22,KDB 22 its quite natural.Hopefully when they get older that's what will improve.
December 20, 201312 yr http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1894745-jose-mourinho-reportedly-has-issues-with-eden-hazard-ashley-cole-at-chelsea and so it begins...
December 20, 201312 yr "Reports suggest the winger, who moved to Chelsea in June 2012 for a fee in the region of £32million, is believed to be unhappy plying his trade under Jose Mourinho. Hazard has carried his fine form into the current campaign - but is said to be keen on sealing a move away from the Bridge."
December 20, 201312 yr bleacher report is a horrible site with user submitted articles. They are americans who know nothing of what is really happening.
December 20, 201312 yr I read that somewhere else and they mentioned PSG were interested, considering we paid £32m for him in the first place it's going to take a bid of over £40m for us to consider letting him leave. Personally I think it's nonsense, Hazard has been the most consistently picked attacking midfielder this season and so if there are any issues I can not fathom what it would be. Basically, you know the transfer window is impending because these stories begin to appear.
December 20, 201312 yr I seem to remember Hazard saying how excited he was to be working under Jose Mourinho Him being unhappy is a nothing story
December 20, 201312 yr I can imagine this might have some legs, Hazards attacking brilliance is being thwarted, by his defensive duties imposed, never had this at Mills, just a liscense to attack.
December 20, 201312 yr It's being reported by a lot of on-line football sites. http://www.givemesport.com/411373-eden-hazard-wants-chelsea-exit-reports?autoplay=on&undertone=off&utm_source=outbrain-rss&utm_medium=outbrain-rss&utm_campaign=outbrain-rss
December 20, 201312 yr I can imagine this might have some legs, Hazards attacking brilliance is being thwarted, by his defensive duties imposed, never had this at Mills, just a liscense to attack. He's our has the highest number of goals and assists in the squad, Jose really isn't holding him back at all.
December 20, 201312 yr I dont understand where people get that him being asked to track back and press is holding him back? The likes of Barca, Madrid, Dortmund and Bayern all play a high pressing game and expect the AMs to press and track back People just use it as an excuse for him being inconsistent, yet people seem to forget hes only 22 and is only in his 2nd season in the League
December 20, 201312 yr It seems some people just use it as an excuse to criticize Mourinho and make out hes too defensive like the media would like us to believe Joe Cole, Robben, Deco, Ronaldo, Di Maria, Ozil, Sneijder all had some of their best seasons of their careers under Mourinho....But apparantly Mourinho is too defensive and doesnt know how to fully get the best out of attacking players

However, things do feel like we're in a real dip at the moment and we can't seem to get out of it. Same thing happened with AVB and Robbie. If we don't play well on Monday, I'll start to get a little suspicious of what's happening.
December 20, 201312 yr doing well in the EPL and champions league without playing the high quality consistent football we all know we are capable of is pretty good in our eyes but then again our detractors will grab at any sh*t to put us down!! and because JM and Chelsea sells rags we are fair game! even if we did have that consistent quality then the detractors will accuse us of being boring and is it good for the EPL like it is good for the spl!!!
December 20, 201312 yr ...if Jose wasn't happy about his working skills, he wouldn't be on the pitch... Eden played almost every game...

Nooooo! Hazard is definitely leaving if both Bleacher Report and Give Me Sport are reporting it. It was nice having him I suppose.
December 22, 201312 yr i think hazard is mourinho's main project in this team. he seems to have taken a real interest in him, and clearly believes he can be a world class player. every time he is asked about hazard he demands more and more, wanting him to take games by the scruff of the neck. not a chance jose would let him go. only 9 days til the transfer window though, so we will see plenty of these stories coming out about mata, luiz, hazard, oscar, cole, de bruyne, lampard, terry....
