December 5, 201312 yr Loved that vid.Looking back on it, you can still how far he can go, he just has everything, not least attacking intelligence. He played balls at the right time and took people on at the right time too. He definitely had the chance to be up there with your Ronaldo's. Think, he has 21 goals in 80 games for us, not bad at all. Also 6 in 14 league games this year is pretty impressive too. He just needs to know how good he is and not be as afraid to take on players on a consistent basis.
December 6, 201312 yr Hmm.. I think he could become a better version of Ribery. Anyways, Hazard for Chelsea - goal or assist every 119 mins. Ronaldo for ManU - goal or assist every 123 mins. Edit: Its not the best comparison I'll admit. Edited December 6, 201312 yr by footballoholic
December 6, 201312 yr The more I watch his second goal against Sunderland the more I love it, by that point they'd had enough of him and were doubling (sometimes tripling) up on him. For the goal he is square on facing two defenders trying to jockey him away from goal, he holds it and he waits for Frank to make his run and then lays it off into the best space he can and as soon as the pass is made he's on the move again leaving both defenders ball watching to see where is pass has gone. He slips between the two of them and suddenly he finds himself with space to work with. It's brilliant.
December 6, 201312 yr But can he do it again on a cold Saturday afternoon in Stoke? We're about to find out.
December 6, 201312 yr We may never find out now but I know a man who can: But can he do it again on a cold Saturday afternoon in Stoke? We're about to find out. I already acknowledged this in the Eto'o thread... The answer is a resounding yes!
December 6, 201312 yr I guess we'll find out soon enough..... ..... But after that Sunderland display I think we might see Stoke double up on his, which means I think that it's going to fall on Mata/Willian/Schurrle or whoever plays on the opposite flank to hurt them because you can't double up on more than one player because it leaves too many gaps and when you've got someone like Lampard playing in midfield the last thing you want to do is to allow time and space to pick his shots. I'm confident, I'm feeling good after the last two games we've played two teams who dress like candy canes and we're about to play our third and like me a fat kid at Christmas we've crunched our way through them and I see no signs of us stopping!
December 6, 201312 yr But can he do it twice in a row? He was so up for it, why hasn't he been like this in every game??
December 6, 201312 yr I think this unbounded praise should be tempered a bit. It was only Sunderland you know, let's see him do it on a regular basis.
December 6, 201312 yr I think this unbounded praise should be tempered a bit. It was only Sunderland you know, let's see him do it on a regular basis. Why? Of course we want to see him do it more often, but a display like that should be applauded and praised as highly as possible. Players are hammered after one poor display nowadays, so I dont see a problem in doing the exact opposite.

December 6, 201312 yr Whatever he had for dinner last night, can Jose make sure he eats it again please? I know what he had for dinner. Phil Bardsley.
December 7, 201312 yr Not sure what Jose feeds them cause they looks so much more hungry than last season. Last season's nutrition was tapas-based. Bad carbs mostly.
December 7, 201312 yr put him as fantasy captain today, what a waste of time that was! didnt see the game so cant comment on how well he played, but im guessing it was something of an anti-climax after his display midweek?
December 7, 201312 yr Exactly most young players especially attacking ones playing out wide are inconsistent.
December 8, 201312 yr I don't think he can be singled out today to be honest, he made a few darting runs and played some decent passes, but you can't rely on one player to pull you through a game, he isn't ronaldo or suarez, he can't carry the entire team when we have a poor game (not yet anyway). There were far worse offenders out there today in terms of having a sh*te performance Edited December 8, 201312 yr by RMCM
December 8, 201312 yr Doubled up on him, fortunately though Schurrle exploited the extra space. Also a couple of lay offs came close to creating good chances. Nothing wrong with his performance yesterday.
December 8, 201312 yr Exactly most young players especially attacking ones playing out wide are inconsistent. The problem is he was even younger last year but played in a much more consistent manner. Instead of beating a man and getting past the back line this season he looks like he's always going to cut inside trying to do everything himself.
