January 12, 201412 yr What's he getting per week here? I see us signing him to a new contract in the summer. Second question, do we have a Hazard song? Willian has a great song.

Hazard is one of, if not the, top-earners at the club. we had to offer him mega money to choose us over city/united/psg. As much as we like him I agree with what has been said in that out of our attacking midfielders we're most likely to keep hold of Oscar, Willian, and Mata. How do you come to the conclusion that we are more likely to keep hold of Mata than Hazard? i would say mata is far more likely to leave at this stage

January 12, 201412 yr Author I really don't get the view that he is destined to leave. There has only been robben that have left in his prime, in the roman era, and I dont see real or barca being able to spend £100 on him, after the recent purchases of bale and neymar respectively. He has said that he wouldn't play for another french club out of respect for lille, so I think psg and monaco are none starters. I think he has this reputation as an egotist because of the drama that went on with his transfer. But I think he showed tremendous loyalty at lille, as he had offers from biggers clubs since he was 15, and only left to further his career. He can achieve everything at chelsea, and he seems like a mature young man in a setttled relationship and his own family, I can see him staying here for as long as we want him.

January 12, 201412 yr We don't have an Oscar song though do we? Seems like that needs sorting out soon!
January 12, 201412 yr Do you guys and gals think that Eden is given enough appreciation and recognition by the press/media ? I don't want to keep beating the same drum (media and Chelsea) but Suarez seems to be getting ALL the plaudits at the minute. Previous to that Januzaj was being championed, surely Eden deserves player of the month or something, unless you can enlighten me did he get it ?
January 12, 201412 yr
Chelsea star Eden Hazard has pledged his future to the club for the foreseeable future by making it clear that he is not looking to move away from Stamford Bridge anytime soon.

The Belgian was quoted telling reporters after putting in a Man-of-the-Match performance for the Blues in their 2-0 win over Hull City last evening: “I’m enjoying it here, I like this club and will keep going for a long time.”

The 23 year old has been linked with a potential move to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain recently, with reports of the player having revealed his wish to move to the Parc des Princes to his close aides, also doing the rounds.

However, Hazard’s words will come as a massive relief for manager Jose Mourinho, who has been adamant to hold him back at Stamford Bridge this season. The Portuguese has already made it clear that it will require an insane bid from his suitors to prise the highly rated Belgian away from west London. But with the financial power of PSG being a crucial factor here, critics have been cautious to not rule out a move for now.

Previous to that Januzaj was being championed, surely Eden deserves player of the month or something, unless you can enlighten me did he get it ? Steve McManaman said after the game on Saturday that behind Suarez he has been the best player in the league this season. There's praise out there but it's hard to get past the anti-Chelsea brigade/Arsenal, Liverpool love in.
January 14, 201412 yr Really....some of these post`s on the red teams forums makes you wonder what the hell are they smoking http://shewore.com/2014/01/13/are-theo-walcott-and-eden-hazard-equals/? "Lille is like living in north-west england" See what i mean Edited January 14, 201412 yr by Devil Dog
January 16, 201412 yr Just saw a comment on an article about maybe playing Hazard as a false 9 and wondered what everyone thinks. I know it failed miserably last year against Juventus but with The Special One in charge anything is possible. Or is his dribbling best reserved for the wider areas and we go with Lukaku as a TM?
January 16, 201412 yr Just read this.. The stats are pretty impressive.http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/15116/9117450/eden-project
January 16, 201412 yr http://shewore.com/2014/01/13/are-theo-walcott-and-eden-hazard-equals/? "Lille is like living in north-west england" See what i mean Actually the quote is even better/worse than that he actually says " Lille is in the North West of England," But aside from that typo, he is assuming that if you speak the language, and the climate is similar, you cannot possibly have any reason not to assimilate immediately! Especially if it is linked by Eurostar!! (wtf is that meant to mean!) What an absolute muppet!
January 17, 201412 yr "They both ended up on the other side of the world" (1 hour travel with high speed train) "Second or 3th language" (actually 4th, after french, dutch and german, the 3 official belgian languages) Funny though...

I know it failed miserably last year against Juventus but with The Special One in charge anything is possible. Or is his dribbling best reserved for the wider areas and we go with Lukaku as a TM? I think he's best facing the goal and running at defenders. Playing up front with his back to goal and being forced into double or triple teams constantly would be a waste of his talents in my opinion.
January 17, 201412 yr Playing in france is similar to playing in the premier league is the point that made me close the browser tab
