It still does look like Earls Court is a possibility but if it didn't reach the vote then it surely won't now considering the clown show Clearlake are currently running. I wouldn't blame them either.

Ffs must have missed that. I suppose that’s the ‘new’ issue now, before it was hard.. now it’s near impossible with the level of goodwill towards the owners.

Bring in Safe Standing/ seats around the lower tiers of the ground - surely one way to boost ticket sales short term. Might create an atmosphere again.

It looks like they want a new stadium. Makes sense because it will be cheaper and better for the use it is intended.

It reads like they’re contemplating building it outside London (it’s too complicated in London). Cobham or upgrading Kings Meadow? Too far away for me, so they better get the Southern fans on side to fill the stadium. And make it more accessible than the Emirates or Spuds, which it is not, to attract the tourists to fill it, because those sites are not central nor west London.

They’ve destroyed their reputation and trust so I’d imagine the CPOs reject every offer until then. And rightly so.

Spot on. Would rather Old Oak Common than to go as far out as Kingsmeadow, Cobham or even Twickenham.

Boehly implies as much himself. The division between them is that one will want to redevelop the SB site and the other will want to move and, as we have all worked out, that will likely be out of London. These fking despicable owners won't care about destroying our club if it means they ultimately make more money out of it.

No way are an American investment corporation going to spend billions ( by borrowing from banks) on a new stadium and then use that increase in revenue for our transfer budget. Not going to happen. Ask Tottenham fans.

Villa now announced a refurb, 42k to 50k, set to be complete mid-2027. Not exactly blown away by the architect vision or anything, but nonetheless.

At this rate, we will be the only ones left not doing anything. Pretty bleak.

We’ll be bottom half in 2-3 years time.

Our problem is that we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. We’re based in an area without enough spare room to fit a chess board, let alone a football pitch and the distance to find enough land would mean we’re a long way from home.

So we’re left with overly expensive bodge job development of our hemmed in one access point stadium. And it’s probably very hard to make a business case for that.

So we just need to accept it and forget about it. Besides, if we don’t even need a shirt sponsor, I guess we don’t need a few extra seats?

I could be wrong but I thought it was a precondition of the sale that there had to be new stadium.

News to me. There was a commitment (or requirement?) to spend a specified sum on infrastructure.

Didn’t Roman have the plans and planning permission to build a new stadium at the bridge so yes it can be done. They just refuse to have anything to do with something or someone associated with the old regime which is pathetic.

Now if ur talking 100k stadium, reduced ticket pricing, cheap tickets for kids etc etc the fans might get behind it otherwise no way. I know it ain’t gonna happen but I can dream.
