Can't remember if this has been said already int his thread or not , but didn't Jose describe Mario as "unmanageable?" That doesn't sound like a huge endorsement to me.

I think it will be too much of a distraction with his off field and on field antics. I'm sure there are strikers at his level that are not that crazy.

I was anticipating this.... You can't really form an opinion based on todays game, Milan were awfull.

 

On that basis some one who had never really seen drogba would be saying, no thank you during the Inter game in 2010 when he was terrible.

Of course I'm not basing it one game. Top players, really top players don't just have ability they have a brain to make the most of that ability, and that is the vital part missing from Balotelli. A brain.

He could also do with a bit of heart as well because when things aren't going his way he usually disappears. As he did tonight.

I doubt we'll be in for him anyway given he's the exact opposite of what Jose would want in a player... lazy, inconsistent, questionable attitude. The one game in ten where he does something spectacular isn't worth the baggage that comes with him.

I don't doubt his ability as a footballer. His mental state is where the problem lies. Balotelli is just impossible to manage, and he doesn't seem to give a sh*t. He's been a disaster at every club he played for. At some point you just have to stop making excuses for the guy and admit he's a total liability and brings more trouble than he's worth.

How did Costa play?

 

He was great. Holding up play, closing down defenders, linked up well with the midfielders . . .
