Clevetey? Why?. Will be interesting to see well how Hart does?

Not sure how Cleverly continues to get a call up personally, one of those players like Millner where he has his foot in the door and is called up regardless of whether he is playing regularly (or well) or not. 

 

Lallana and Townsend starting is nice and positive once again from Hodgson and should cause the Germans a bit of trouble with their pace. 

 

Big game for Sturridge in my opinion, he keeps missing England games with injury and risks pushing himself out of contention from starting if it keeps happening. He needs to replicate his Liverpool form more because mostly he hasn't impressed in an England shirt. 

 

Really not a fan of Kyle Walker personally but I think that might be mainly because he is a spud. 

 

Going to be interesting once Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain are fit again considering players like Townsend and Lallana are playing their way into the squad.

 

Would have liked to of seen Barkley given a run out from the start in one of these two games personally. 

Seems like Loew is resting Lahm and Neuer for the BvB match :P

I don't know what it is with Sturridge and the England team, he's probably the best striker in England at the moment (which sounds like damning with faint praise considering the quality of the competition) but he seems to miss a hell of a lot of internationals through injury.

 

Anyway, the front four looks fine and is probably the best we can do these days (Rooney and Sturridge in the middle with Lallana and Townsend wide) but the keeper and the central defence/midfield are a concern.

I'd laugh if the Germans field their B Team and still beat us handsomely.

This would have been the perfect game for Henderson and his partnership with Gerrard would have been a bonus too.

Wilshere was only given for 1 game by Wenger thought Barkley should be given a crack in cm but he's more attacking. I would play Henderson over cleverly though

Unless Wilshire has pulled out / injured, then that is a ridiculous decision.

Germany are missing their core key players, but I still fancy them to beat England comfortably.

Do you honestly think England will win? I really doubt it to be honest!

I know Germany are resting loads of players, but Germany is Germany.

I don't go alot for friendlies but it is the Krau...I mean Germans so it's an exception.

Nobody understands it. It's like the kid in school getting picked just because he is popular...........actually this doesn't just happen in school, my local football team only seem to pick players based on how well known they are in the village. It's a problem that happens from the bottom to the top of football in this country.

 

I'm not Henderson's biggest fan but he is well ahead of Cleverley, why not give him a try ?

The fact that we are even having to choose between Cleverley and Henderson to run England's midfield sums up just how woeful the talent pool is at the moment.

I must admit I was dead against signing Rooney when it was first mooted, but I am gradually warming to him. I really can't fault his work rate and commitment, and he's none to shabby ability wise either. We could do a lot worse than signing him.

Walker and Cleverley i agree with you on, Gerrard has been ok, Sturridge needs to do more. I don't think Townsend is just running and doing nothing, he's done more than anyone else. Rooney, meh. Cole has been great, looks like he has had a good rest.

England miss a dominant defender, JT would have given them that. I can't believe that after having such dominant defenders over the years we are now struggling.

What has townsend created? He runs towards defenders cover with his head down, stops and cuts back, then looks up.

True he hasn't created much, but nobody is creating, i just think it's a bit harsh singling him out.

Nobody in control in central defence. Cole has shown that he is far better than Baines. Walker can't cope at international level
