Chalobah is a DM isn't he? Would like to see him integrated to the team. Hard though with Van Ginkel there next season.

I think Mceachran is at the right club for now, if anyone cam bring him on I'd say Zolas influence can only be a good thing, lets face it we haven't got a youngster that could come in at this stage of the season and Jose will have to get the DM sorted out with the choices he has.

Once you come to terms that the Academy is a lottery and will never be the star factory that so many people seem to think it is the better. The chances of an academy player getting into the first team is slim at best and just playing them for the sake of it won't help.

I get your point but Chelsea are worse than most clubs in the same class when it comes to homegrown talent

What about Ake? He got a few games last season and looked ok. Seems a waste buy other players.

Jose seems keen on him, it's up to him to prove him right, however, Notts Forest seem intent on not playing him. Absolute waste.

Benitez was good with young players. Also we were stretched last season.

I read a quote from Jose this weekend that he will reinstate Bison Essien to the UCL squad in Jan to replace MVG.

in last summer window, he said all managers lie about wanting to sign players and will try to the end to improve their squad...me thinks, he doesn't want to upset the squad during busy December schedule with talk of new arrivals, but I reckon privately he will be on the look-out for new players for sure

Rumour this morning is that Leeds are interested in taking him on loan from January, they've developed a couple of young players in recent years so could be a decent move for him.

 

It's a shame he isn't getting game time at Forrest considering how well he played last season. 

Who would you have us buy? No point getting a new striker now when Lukaku comes back in a few months and Eto'o's contract expires at the end of the season.

Defence is working well, more than enough attacking midfielders, and I don't know of any defensive midfielders we could pick up for a decent price that would improve our squad right now, you never get value in January. People always say they want Gundogan or Bender but both would cost an arm and a leg, particularly in mid-season.

We could do with a real general in CM. Mikel is very hit and miss, Lampard can't play every game and Essien just isn't up to it any more.

 

We basically need a current-day version of Ballack in there alongside Ramires. Not sure who that would be though, as I don't watch much football other than CHelsea nowadays.

I think there is just a lack of top quality players in that position these days, except at Tottenham where they have 3 players that would probably all be an improvement on our current options to play alongside Ramires (Paulinho, Sandro and Dembele).

I'd have Dembele for sure but Spurs wont sell him to us.Matic would be good but will be expensive,i really wouldn't mind Chalobah coming back to us and getting games.I think he's good enough.

id agree on chalobah, but its a concern that forest dont think he's good enough to be starting for them. surely if he was Chelsea quality he should be undroppable for a championship side

He was first choice for Watford last year. Just because Forest don't fancy him doesn't really mean much.
