Money.

I'd imagine he could make more at City than he could at any of the other clubs mentioned.

We lost 0 games and almost went into last 8 if it wasn't the worst patch of our season and we faced the wrong opponent at the wrong time. Small details. But on the whole I really agree on spendin money on some real quality. We need to target the same calibre players as Real/Barca/Bayern.

 

we were fortunate to come away from that 1st leg with psg with a draw. if i remember rightly cavani missed a sitter, as well as other chances they should have put away. considering they had a few regulars missing, it was a terrible showing from us. it is no surprise that jose wants a better showing next season, and hopefully we go about it the right way.

Sterling is already in Man City's pocket. Pogba is not leaving Juventus this summer, same as De Bruyne.

Sterling might go to City.  Pogba won't, Juventus have confirmed meeting Barca, nothing re.City. Barca are a much much bigger attraction than City All signs point to Barca signing him next summer. De Bruyne wont go there either IMO, and if they spend £50m on him, then wow

We also had several good chances in the first half, we could and should have been 2 up.

If we sell Oscar I would sign Koke (he can also play next to Matic if needed)

I like Turan in the midfield. Jose would only improve him so it would be Turan 2.1

Filipe Luis will go back to Atletico so we need to replace him with some quality defender. I'm not sure who would be good replacement.

Also, How do you know pogba deal is done? I am quite sure there will be one big CM signing this summer. 

 

And Turan is going to be a poor choice, he is 29 and wont improve, will also spend a lot of time suspended as he is a hot head and oppos will wind him up.

Koke has a buyout clause of about €75m. Unlikely that athletico let him go for anything less than that.

 

Pogba news that you are reading is rubbish, no one has confirmed a transfer yet.

£100million Buyout is for both Koke and Griezmann together. They just want keep them but if anything Koke won't be as expensive as Pogba.

I was reading they already signed contract but that's just rumour.

I believe they're signing all of them, as well as Delph.

I'm not sure if Progba wants to play for City.

Barca's president has ruled out a move for Pogba:

At best he'll only have one season playing for Pellegrini

I think Pogba transfer is cost prohibitive for us. If he becomes available, there'll be an auction and we're not likely to get involved.

We may do some deal involving Oscar + money.

But also I'm not sure if we should believe Barcelona's president. Football is a dirty business.

I think Pogba is the 'missing piece' in our jigsaw. Oscar to Juve in return plus lots of cash. That's why we want Isco as well? Pogba and Matic sitting behind Hazard Fabregas and Willian/Isco looks formidable

I think it is impossible to buy Pogba and Isco in the same transfer window. It would cost probably about 80m pounds + Oscar. Maybe if we sell Salah, Cuadrado, Ramires for 50. But even then, Juve must reject Barca and others for Pogba before we make an offer and it is question is Isco even on sale plans in Madrid. It is very risky to put whole transfer window on hold for that move, although I believe we would win it all with them.

I hope jose allows RLC to play in the no10 position next season (whenever he gets his chance) because next to matic negates a lot of ruben's best qualities. i think he's as capable as anyone, especially pogba. i don't think pogba would be useful defensively, any more so than ruben is; we've seen what a lazy f**ker pogba can be on many occasions.

Love your optimism Enigma but if we want to improve in terms of quality we can't put our hopes to a youngster. We need a ready world beater.

As a team we can gel to be better naturally but we need more quality as well.
