Paul Pogba - Needs to Sign!

Featured Replies

I'd absolutely love to have Pogba, I think he is fantastic, but lets not forget Man U gave him away for free 3 years ago

A correction is needed here, Man Utd did not give him away, he forced a move away after Ferguson stupidly played a right back in midfield after an injury to Scholes (IIRC), leaving Pogba feeling like he wasn't appreciated.

Maybe he wasn't a team player so granted he was younger

It's going to be £50m and Oscar to put this over the line.

Juventus have made no secret of their admiration for Oscar and if he was in the mix it would cause Juventus to cave.

No chance.

Oscar is worth at least £30 million.

50 on top of that is stupid.

@tancredipalmeri: “Talks ongoing this morning for Pogba between Chelsea and Juventus. New contact later in the day. But still no agreement has been reached.”

Likely the problem is they want Oscar as part of any deal and we are offering Cuadrado and/or Ramires.

Chelsea have agreed a £69m deal to sign 22-year-old Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba, while attacking midfielders Oscar, 23, Willian, 27, and Juan Cuadrado, 27, could go the other way.

Rumour only but very weird nonetheless

For the love of God if us not wanting to part with Oscar is what's preventing this deal from happening then our board and whoever is doing the negotiations needs to be fired immediately.

We're talking about Paul f**king Pogba folks.

Crazy to even think giving up Oscar as part of any deal...a full Brazilian International, he is young and still has a lot to learn and still to find a level of consistency but once he does he will be priceless.  No doubt Pogba is a class player and is well worth pursuing but not to to the extent of Oscar when there are so many other fringe players that could be thrown into the deal that would certainly strengthen Juventus.

But you need to negotiate so Juve feel like they got something out of the deal. Oscar + cash is probably the only way this deal goes through (dont get me wrong if they ended up taking rambo & cuad id be over the moon). If we think later down the road if we need another midfielder I'm sure Nathan could pan out, otherwise we can find someone again...personaly I would pick Barkley.

Who is a good midfield player, not the second coming.

The overhyping of him on here and the idea and the idea we should trade up half our squad to get him is just ridiculous.

Difficult one. Assuming that Juve do want Oscar in the deal.

My take: If Pogba were to join, Oscar would probably lose out to Fabregas or Willian for a place. That means for me he is on the table, if we are trying to make the deal happen.

Pogba is fantastic player, but if Oscar is part of the deal then we should give up. These rumours sounds crazy to me, we losing 3 players + cash to get one player. The most acceptable offer for me is 50m and Cuadrado or Ramires, but not Oscar. When Oscar is in form he's excellent and there's no need to sell or replace him.

I won't lie, I really want Pogba in our team, but the offer should be legit. We can't lose so much money and also players, especially not Oscar.

Chelsea's 120m€ bid for Pogba rejected by Juventus; negotiation for him seems to be off. Meanwhile, Juventus made undisclosed bid for Oscar

the fact that he still stick with his 120mil bullsh*t  :laugh2:

mmmmm I doubt there is one iotta of truth in that tweet but if there were I could see a 30mill bid for Oscar....CFC reject it, then they decided (they already have) that Oscar gets thrown in as part of the deal...we end up giving Juve 30mill + Oscar...win / win for both clubs except for us fans of Oscar. ..............personally if this tweet is anyway accurate or believable, which I doubt, and they want Oscar as much as we want Pogba, then why not come to an agreement and just do a straight swap; Oscar is as valuable to us as Pogba is to Juventus...as Stones is to Everton.

If we likened this deal to buying a car, the fact we are chucking Cuadradro in would be the same as making sure it had a full tank of petrol!

Don't exaggerate, it's more like sticking a free 'pine tree air freshener' on the dash.

This Tancredi guy doesn't know his head from his asshole. He's just milking the juiciest transfer rumour at the moment. I wouldn't trust anything he posts.

I don't want to see Oscar go, but if it's the only way Juve will sell, then I would reluctantly offer Oscar +no more than £15million.

Talk about people on here overhyping Stones, you guys are severely overhyping Oscar.

Yes when he is in form he is truly magnificent to watch, but how often has that been since we signed him. All of us thought this would be his year since he had a full summer off but now he is "injured". On top of that where would you play him now that we have Pedro?

The same people who praise Willian for his tireless work rate are the same people who praise Oscar for his " talent".

Unfortunately you cannot have them both playing unless you drop Matic, Fabregas, Hazard or Pedro.

Then if Pogba does come in that is one more person that you would have to drop for somebody like Oscar or Willian to crack the starting XI.

Pogba is significantly better than Oscar is and that isn't just my opinion. There is a reason he is being linked with Barcelona and PSG.
