funny that you just simply discarded all the brilliance of messi turning 4 defenders inside out and making them look foolish hence the "sh*t defending"

You might want to read back in this thread to understand why I said that.

It's about opinion, how about simply saying what a goal by Messi instead if bringing Ronaldo up. It's boring.

Why, I honestly believe he's a far better footballer than CR7, now goalscorer, there is but a cigarette paper between them!!

It's funny isn't it, Arsenal fans loving Wenger now, by Christmas they'll probably want him out again.

There should be an Arsenal equivalent of the Scouse boom bust cycle. They start out full of cocky bravado, but it gradually diminishes with every crap result and by December they're 6th in the league, 12 points behind the leaders, and they all want Wenger out. Then in the new year, coinciding with them being knocked out of the CL in the first knockout round, they have a good run of results against mid-table sides, they all throw away their 'Wenger out' banners, dust off their 'Arsene knows' ones and suddenly they're going to win the league. Then they face a good team, usually Chelsea, lose, the wheels come off the bandwagon and they limp home in 3rd/4th again. They nevertheless enter the new season full of bullish optimism about winning the league based on finishing 3rd/4th again and beating a rubbish team in a cup final. Rinse, wash and repeat.

I just don't see the need for people to big one up as better than the other every tone one of them doe something. It's been said to death.

So that was one of the worst fa cup finals ever...on the plus side it will fool Wenger and the idiotic arse fans that they're close for title and cl, when in truth, they're miles away

What an incredible team Barca is. They'd take care of Pep's barca with ease tbh.

Would they?

A prime Iniesta and Xavi remember plus Puyol at the back.

Easy to say but Barca dominated for a few years under Pep. This team have still got a bit to go

Id take Walcott in a heart beat.

Great player, if a side could keep him injury free he'd easily contribute to 20+ goals a year.

If he's willing to sit on the bench unless one of our better players are injured then sure.

Walcott is dangerous because he's quick but i think Branislav is technically better than Theo

He'd get in before Willian and Cuadrado

He'd get in before Willian and Cuadrado

Walcott is the same age as Willian and miles behind in terms of ability. Walcott runs like an olympic sprinter but is limited as a footballer and terribly inconsistent. For every 8/10 performance Walcott has his next 10 games he will be 5 or 6 out of 10.

Walcott would get in before Cuadrado though although that is based purely on the few poor substitute cameos I've seen of Cuadrado

He scores or assists a goals on average once every two games

Willian and Cuadrado can only dream of those sorts of numbers.

Walcott is the sort of player who makes things happen. I rate him very highly.

Walcott has scored more goals in 2 games than Willian and Cuadrado has for us all season.

I think Walcott get's a bit of a raw deal from football fans. Before his injury he was becoming one of the most dangerous wingers in the game. His goals and assists record were up there with the best. His movement and passing has improved a lot too.

Walcott can hardly get a game for Arsenal who have finished 4th every season for eternity (3rd this season, well done Arsenal)

If scoring a hat trick against West Brom last week and a goal against Villa today is enough to get Walcott in ahead of Willian who has been brilliant , fair enough

If you want to use goal/assists to argue that Walcott (played up front against West Brom and Villa)  should replace Willian wide right then why don't we stick Jeffrey Schlupp on the right. He has 3 goals and 2 assists this season

Or we could put Jagielka,  Steven Nzonzi  or Ryan Mason on the right because they have all scored more than Willian

Walcott sums up the arse...turns up every so often and everyone gets really excited...but look beneath the surface and who does he really turn up against? Good cup player, but he's been at arse for eight years now and never come close to winning the league...fair enough, he's upgrade on Cuadrado, but what's that really saying given he's been here five minutes, but Willian? Clearly not been watching him closely this season...his role in our title win very much underrated...by end of season he was above Oscar in pecking order, consistently playing high level for team week after week...number if assists and gls only tell part of the story

Because Walcott's ability to assist or score every other game stretches across his entire career at Arsenal.

He has 7 goals in 7 starts for Arsenal alone this season which tops the pathetic comparison you raised.

Take the blue tinted specs off and you'll appreciate his output.

What pathetic comparison? He scored against Brighton in the FA Cup January, Scored against Leicester and Villa in February and then scored a hat trick against West Brom last week in a meaningless league match before his goal against Villa today.

Walcott has played 22 matches this season in all competitions and has 5 league goals  (3 last week against West Brom)

If scoring  against Brighton, Leicester, Villa and West Brom is enough then yeah lets get rid of Willian and replace him with Theo

William is really underrated here in my opinion. His olympic sprinting ability is also one of the reason, ivanovic is that effective. Plus he is also effective in a more central role. True he won't score more goals, but he can stay more injury free and and can compliment others more if he improves more. Wouldn't trade him for Walcott, but I would for cuadrado in a heartbeat

Yep, He seems to have really started to settle in recent months also, bit like Essein in that he's only going to get better, then possibly cement his place after a quiet start.

As for the cup final, cannot knock Arsenal for that, they were well up for it, and scored some brilliant goals.

Id take Walcott in a heart beat.

Isn't Walcott the same as Schurrle? I would actually say Schurrle is better as he is a much better finisher, better movement as well.

If it didn't work out with Schurrle then I don't see why it would work with Walcott.

So that was one of the worst fa cup finals ever...on the plus side it will fool Wenger and the idiotic arse fans that they're close for title and cl, when in truth, they're miles away

Tbh of you go back the last twenty years there's only been about 5 good/decent FA Cup Finals and by good I mean for the neutral.

2001 Liverpool 2 Arsenal 1

2006 Liverpool 3 West Ham 3

2009 Chelsea 2 Everton 1

2012 Chelsea 2 Liverpool 1

2014 Arsenal 3 Hull 2

Other than that they've been one sided or drab low scores. I mean even ours against Portsmouth was a one sided game really even when they got a pen it didn't really raise the excitement levels.

I said this to a friend yesterday the League Cup seems to produce better finals but the FA Cup produced the more iconic moments.
