Hes a 1 in 2 striker pretty much isnt he? for 8 mill thats very good, so I presume it will be either him or Sturridge up front, cant see how they will fit both in.

Ba was a 1 in 2 striker as well but didn't fit in at Chelsea mainly (in my opinion) because his overall game wasn't that rounded, give him the ball outside the area and not much is going to happen.

At the World Cup Remy was behind Benzema and Giroud which tells you a lot about how highly rated he was by Deschamps.

He's a decent signing but no replacement for Suarez. Considering Liverpool have about £70m burning a hole in their pocket all their signings so far are fairly... Meh. They don't wow you with envy.

I don't see them challenging for the title again this season personally and I think they'll be content to finish in the top 4.

No shame in that, Benzema is their starter and Giroud plays well for France and did so in their qualifiers as well.

They could be doing a Spurs and just padding out the squad rather than getting the right players in or they could end up getting the results through the amount of talent they have. We'll have to wait and see because all we can do right now is speculate.

What I was alluding to was that Suarez is a player you pick even when not fully fit, Remy though a decent player has others who are much better than him, even at national level.

Remy reminds me of bent, barely ever gets involved in build up play.

To be frank a lot of people on here for the past few years have been calling for a striker who primarily bangs them in, his ability to get involved in the build-up something of an afterthought.

BREAKING: Liverpool an Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement over the transfer of Marco Reus. They both agree its never going to happen

To be fair, most of the rest of your team is good for flicks and tricks and showy stuff, Milner would (in theory) be a good complement to that, plus it's not as if he's not a quality footballer, he just ends up doing the less glamorous roles because of his work rate.

He changed the City game at anfield completely in their favour. He doesn't have the exciting factor bout him but he is one very good and very underrated player. I would hve at anfield quite gladly.

all the reports ive seen saying he wants astronomical wages, i think theres better for cheaper out there myself, f**k knows who mind, im not good at this scouting malarky

Emre Can already injured for the Dippers, hobbled off against Preston. Bad luck.

nothing serious though, he'll be fine, looks like a good player too
