That's the thing with Madrid though it doesn't matter to them whether a player is beneficial to the team or better than what they've got, they just want to sign the next marquee player that will sell shirts.

i love fowler, not really arsed if he had a bit of coke, loads of people do. i was disappointed with the homophobic stuff though

The thing with Yaya is he feels he is unappreciated amongst his peers. This whole event has been a bit bizarre. He's said some silly things and His agent is his best mate who will no doubt have been winding him up and stroking his ego. When you score 24 goals from a deep midfield role, utterly destroying sides single handedly along the way to winning the double, you expect to pick up the player of the year... He was miles better than Gerrard, he has a right to be upset on that front imo.

 

That's his main gripe. His ego has taken a beating. Buzzing he's staying on though. He's easily the best CM in the league, he'll be very difficult to replace when he does go. Hopefully Barkley will be at the Etihad by then ;)

Gerrard won the FWA i think, Suarez the PFA... Toure won his club the league. Suarez and Gerrard were plucky losers...

 

He's been a plumb, but he's a footballer, 90% of them are nobs. He'll do what he dopes best next season, and that's all that really matters i guess. I don't like it, i'd much rather every player behave like a Lampard or a Kompany. But unfortunately they appear to be the exception rather than the standard.
