It will be interesting to see what the impact will be on their shares. As you say, the revenues from shirt deal etc should keep them afloat but can't imagine that sponsors, suppliers etc will be too happy about drop in profits. Pressure will be on them to qualify for the CL next season for the revenue and prestige that brings.

Stock has not reported a gain in 11 sessions and 9 of those were for losses and 2 to end up with no gain. Not near it's all time low yet but losing 25% since July is enough for me. Could be a buy for the quick trade on a pop but as investment even the dumbest of Mancs would stay clear.

in all fairness they did beat us in a cup final there. although we went someway in returning the favour when we smashed them in the cup semi. still think that is one of Drogba's best goals!

I genuinely don't know sorry as bearing in mind the Nth London, Essex and Herts location of a lot of Spurs fans, some of the alternatives would be a pain to get to. Wembley and the Olympic Stadium seem bad ideas as we would not full either venue and Wembley is a pain to go out to, imo.

I could be wrong but when I comes to the Olympic Stadium I don't think West Ham get much of a say as the ground is leased. Essentially they need to make as much money from the venue as possible to justify the frankly ridiculous cost of building it and then converting it.

It may be decided by the lease holders that a ground share for a year would be good financially.

Rodgers moaning that Sturridge 'only' got 36 hours rest between the friendly and his first training session, causing the injury. That's 2 nights of rest.

 

If that's enough to cause an injury, Liverpool are screwed playing in Europe because that's pretty much exactly how much rest they'll get. They'll both be competitive games too, not friendlies played at half pace.

I don't pretend to know if this is reflective of all weeks or whether it would surprise people who follow the leagues in Europe but I thought this was interesting - I didn't realise how very nearly sold out all the premier league games were nor how few Serie A.

Nice chart but I'd like to see similar stats for an entire season, rather than just the opening match.

Couldn't find exactly the same.  But these charts from 2012 are quite interesting Teritus.  I think it shows quite convincingly that the Premier League and the Budesliga are better supported than other leagues in Europe.  Serie A had 14 clubs that never  sold out a game!  I was surprised that the PL had 4.

 

Serie A is really in the sh*t looking at those graphs, no wonder Milans team now is basically made up of free transfers and loans.

Wonder why the Italian public seem to have lost interest in their league and clubs.
