I like Drogba, I'm not accusing him of being in the bad brigade, But by making hospitals in his home country he is taking care of his own people, Which in theory means he views them as more important than people suffering in other countries. Now let's flip the races here, White English football player goes to Nigeria where there is a new mythical football league with big money available to the older pro's in Europe, After finishing off his first season collecting £2/3 million, The White English football player decides to open up several charities, One for Parkinson's, One for Breast cancer awareness etc etc. Are you seriously telling me people in Nigeria will not question that man's motives for not organizing charities in Africa but instead opening them in his home country?

Another thing, Don't give me all that cobblers about people in African are more needy than people over here, I mean if you are broke, homeless or struggling with a serious illness you are just as in need of help than say people in Africa, One man's struggle can never outweigh another man's struggle, You should treat them equally.

You might need to take a trip to Africa then, mate. I have, and i tell you, they need the help 10x more than people in this country. In the UK you can go and claim benefits or get housing if struggling, in Africa you are pretty much left on the street, and you can't just lay under a bridge or outside a store and have people throw money your way, as the citizens in Africa have literally just enough money to feed themselves, let alone a total stranger in need.

Also, there are very few that have running water, and they have no electricity, only candles inside their homes for light. These people who can afford candles are the lucky few too, as the majority cannot even afford a candle for light. I only went to one country in Africa, but there's many more countries there that are likely twice (or more) as bad.

Drogba raised money and built a hospital. Probably aren't too many of those in his beloved country.

How he has managed to get criticised for that is beyond me.

I'm not accusing Drogba of being racist, I'm accusing the idea of setting up charities in your homeland, Having earned your corn elsewhere it's selfish and has a deep rooted racial thought behind it. Enigma said footballers should not be viewed as idols to which stim responded some footballers can be because they set up charities back home, To which i responded that in itself is a reason in which to not idolize footballers. Drogba should have set up some charities here if he is the saint he has convinced you all he is, But he is not alone, Toure is guilty of that, Zabaleta is guilty of that, All these foreign stars earn their corn here and then invest it back home. How can that sit right with English guys supporting an English club?

The best part of you ran down you mothers leg.

Very good constructive argument, well done.

Not that it's anything to do with you, but I did ask him why it was racist, Hus answer made me think he was an idiot, his further answers made me think he was a complete idiot.

Also you're a massive hypocrite after your attempt at constructive discussion.

Just saw this on twitter. My liverpool mate put it up with #believe. :cringe:

They're so weird.

I did say i would get crucified but i stand with what i said, Obviously i'm going to probably need some lubrication as i continue to get fisted for a page or two on this issue.

It's nothing to do with the fact its Drogba and it's not even the fact that you called him a racist, I'd have viewed your comment with the same disbelief if you were talking about Yaya Toure or any other person in the world from an underprivileged country that has made something of themselves.

I actually attended a seminar yesterday regarding cultural intelligence, and something they showed us is particularly pertinent here.

Yes there are many, many worthy causes in England, charities dealing with research into terminal illnesses and such. But you know what people in Ivory Coast would love? Basic medical care, clean drinking water and food, things you and I take for granted and don't even think about, unlike Drogba who experienced these very things in his childhood, and who unlike you and I has a true grasp of how fortunate people like you and I really are.

Anyone is allowed to do what they want with their money. There is no written rule to say you have to give to a specific person or charity/cause. If I won the lottery tomorrow and wanted to go build a school in Africa, that is my choice. If I wanted to use that money and feed, home and clothe a homeless person where I live, again, that is my choice. Just because Didier (or any other footballer) decides to invest his money into causes in his home country/continent, he shouldn't have to answer to anyone for that choice.

I don't know about Drogba or any other Footballers tax affairs, but I would imagine they contribute plenty to whichever country they are playing in, in the form of tax, NI etc...

Also most players at Football clubs do charitable work in this country as part of their clubs initiatives, so I would imagine he has contributed more than enough to UK based causes.

I'd better withdraw my direct debit for Great Ormond Street though, in case anyone accuses me of being racist.

Balotelli in talks with Liverpool. From one nutcase to another??

Only difference is, That nutcase was a world class footballer and this nutcase is world class at uploading stupid pictures on to his instagram, It's a panic buy if they do make a move for him.

Looks like Mario is going to the bin dippers

What the hell happened at Cardiff??

Mad isn't it! I'm really interested in this because it gives us an insight into what these people are like when the cameras arent around!

If you read all the messages its quite unbelievable and rather scary that all these rich men act and talk like that to one another!!?

Its comparative to the attitudes of the lowest convicts and the most heinous 'people' in the country!!

disgrace! l thought he was a decent manager as well!!

What is most intriguing is where does this end? If you look at the language used, it seems to me very commonplace, Did he talk like that in private with everyone? So is that accepted behind the scenes? Are other managers like this? mad!

If they sign Balotelli, they'll be replacing one kind of nutter with another kind of nutter. The good news from everyone else's point of view is that Balotelli isn't a sneaky underhanded little sh*te like Suarez, but is more the in your face type nutter.

As such he's far more prone to red cards and the resulting suspendions than Suarez ever was.

It's a fairly low price the figures that are going about.

Under 20 million?

That's a bargain IMO

It's really interesting. When the pair were sacked by Cardiff it was Tan that was made the villain but as it turns out it was the other pair.

We need to remember that it's all allegations at the moment but with Moody resigning as I write this it's not looking good for them at all.
