Im really excited about the ballotelli transfer, im probably just being a muppet but i think he'll be great for us

also these skills are f**king sick

Now I have to dislike Mario, tough one. Why is Milan so keen to kick him out, because of the racial abuse he faced? It's a good signing for the Poo, he's better than Lambert. However if he sits on the bench for a few weeks, expect him to kick a sh1t storm.

I think his signing makes the Liverpool strikeforce, from top to bottom better than ours.  Slightly.  Drogba of a few years back, and it wouldn't even be a debate.  Same could be said of Torres though, I suppose.

It will be interesting for a couple of reasons.  First, I think that Sturridge was looking forward to being the main man now that Suarez has left, and this will be a bit of a dent in his ego.  Second, MB is such a lunatic, who knows what he'll be like.  Also, didn't he say he hated living in Manchester?  Is Liverpool that much more attractive than Manchester as a city?

Coutinho is the only Liverpool player i'd have in a chelsea-liverpool combined XI, and thats only because Oscar has been poor lately.

There's no way I'd swap sterling for schurrle. Schurrle is a very smart player, but sterling doesn't have that level of football intelligence.

This racial abuse thing is always blown out of proportion. He get's booed because no one likes him, not because he's black. If we were to go by his word he would apparently be getting racially abused every time he's on the pitch. Even Seedorf and other coaches on the touchline say they don't hear any racial chants. Not to say it hasn't happened, there was one clear unsavoury incident which lead to the match stopping.

Not sure what you mean when you say football intelligence in this context but from a general point of view I would say Sterling is smarter, he knows when to pass, has great vision all across the pitch which leads to him making some great passes. Schurrle can be one dimensional and ignore better options in favour of a shot, which isn't really all that bad cause 9 times out of 10 he scores or at least makes the keeper work.

Good reaction from Jamie to be fair. Can't help but think if an adult asked that as a joke probably wouldn't have got the same response lol.

Dreaded the thought of him as a pundit but actually quite like him.

Apparently the transfer fee of balotelli only covers what milan owe city still, thats how desperate they are to get rid, which is very telling.

It's amazing how many managers seem to have the thought 'x player is talented but an idiot; I, alone of all the other managers who have tried, have the skill to manage x'.

It's probably an Anfield tradition now to sign at least one player who'll spend a part of the season banned.

All this talk of Balotelli and mavericks had me thinking of Gazza and then I read today he has been on the binge again, The image I saw of him weeping and being helped into an ambulance is really sad.

I love Ferdinand's arrogance, Comparing himself with Loew, Klinsmann, Guardiola and Mourinho, Saying how they were all young 'geezers' when they started out as managers and look at them now. Only difference is Loew managed for about 4/5 clubs prior to becoming involved in the German set up, Guardiola was in charge of the B team at Barca and Mourinho was a translator for Bobby then managed in Portugal at a club which name slips my mind and then he got his break at Porto and from there he made his way up, None of those guys demanded anything unlike this self righteous little rag ba-stard.

A perfect example of the modern day English footballers mind set, They just don't want to put the graft in, I can't be bothered to go and manage Leyton Orient for two years so that then maybe a club like Villa can come after me and then from there I can land a Tottenham/Everton type job, No I'm not doing that, I've got all the answers, I've got a philosophy, If I can't land a top 4 club job or England, I'm working as a pundit.

I don't think you understand how bad the racism problem is in Italy, even their FA President is a racist dipsh*t

Quoted by the newspaper La Repubblica, Tavecchio said: “England identifies the players coming in and, if they are professional, they are allowed to play.

“Here, on the other hand, let’s say there’s [fictional player] Opti Poba, who has come here, who previously was eating bananas and now is a first-team player for Lazio. In England he has to demonstrate his CV and his pedigree.”

Seedorf has no choice if he wants to be a manager there, he needs to play by the old white man's rules.

Personally I find it appalling and until Presidents/Players/Fans who racially abuse players aren't banned from football grounds in Italy the issue won't be resolved.

I can certainly understand players not wanting to play in such a toxic environment.

One last thing before I go, Sky Sports news had a poll, Is Aaron Ramsey the best midfielder in the Premier League? Questions like that don't deserve an answer. :face_palm:

He was last season before his injury problems so I don't see a problem with that.

Ramsey is actually becoming a favourite player of mine, a tough task being a gooner. If he is healthy all season long arsenal will be in the title hunt at the end of the season. He is amazing.

Saw that today. Thought at first they'd done of those mock ups to show what Gazza might look like at 70. Very sad sight.

Ha. Looking forward to seeing some of that, if the signing happens.

Going to be interesting at least.

Can't wait to play Liverpool FC bingo when his press conference is on.

"I've always supported Liverpool"

"One of the biggest clubs in the world"

and then Brentdan:-

"Mario is world class"

"He has a fantastic attitude"

I like Balotelli to be fair, nothing wrong with a nutter that doesn't bite people.

Liverpool football club are to replace mentally unstable Luis Suarez with equally deranged Mario Balotelli, according to reports this morning.

With the potential signing of the ‘interesting’ Italian set to complete in the coming days, fans have been reassured that the mere mention of the name of the club’s main centre-forward will forever have them wondering ‘Oh God what has he done now’.

A club spokesperson explained, “Whether it’s biting their opponents or setting off fireworks inside their house, the role of a Liverpool forward is about more than just scoring goals.”

“Our fans want to know that their leading marksman could implode at any moment. They expect it.”

“I think that’s why Andy Carrol didn’t work out – because getting drunk and fighting just doesn’t cut it at the top level these days.”

“We considered Radamel Falcao, obviously, but apparently the wildest thing he ever did was fill a Panini sticker album with stickers of himself.”

“That would never make the back pages, and our fans simply won’t accept that.”

“Mario is our man and we can’t wait to see what he does first.”

“We might not be able to guarantee the on-pitch performances of Luis Suarez, but we can guarantee an adequate replacement in terms of column inches.”

Balotelli for Liverpool

Fans have reacted with excitement at the news, with season ticket holder Simon Williams explaining that Balotelli is exactly what Liverpool needs.

He told us, “I heard his medical involved a not only a full physical examination, but an inspection and lengthy demonstration of his collection of throwing knives.”

“Plus, I’m a part-time fireman so I could do with the overtime he’ll undoubtedly bring me.”

“I think I love him already.

Has anyone noticed that QPR has Isla and Vargas, Chileans from Juventus and Napoli, on loan for the season? How did they pull that off?
