Henderson starting to add goals to his game by the looks of it.

Reluctantly Gerrard's introduction gave Henderson licence to bomb forward - can't stand the guy but can't deny Rodgers is a decent coach. Wouldn't mind him at Chelsea if Mou ever moved on.

After the sh*t he's said about us in the past? No thanks

Gomis is such a poor man's Bony. Did their scouts just look for another big black guy with dreadlocks?

Watching Liverpool tonight reminds me of how we were playing a few months ago. First to every ball, pressuring Swansea and fantastic movement in the final 3. Maybe Swansea are just sh*t but the game against the scousers could be very tricky.

All of our games will be tricky if we are as low key as we seem to be these days.

No intensity in our play these days

Chalobah is going to Wembley.

And Clarkey ,

Chalobah had a good game, nice and composed throughout, pity we can't lend them Drogba to give Whinger nightmares before Wembley.

We need to seriously upgrade our application and effort if we are going to win the title. Arsenal and Liverpool look stronger than us and United could pose real problems too.

found the perfect retort for you

If anything, I think the first half performance - following the Mike Dean gifting Southampton a penalty, revealed a touch of mental fragility, The second half proved that we do have hidden reserves, that we (or should I say Jose) can turn things round, because on our second half performance we were hugely unfortunate not to come away with a win. Play like we did in the second half and we can do it, play like we did for most of the first half and we could blow it big time.

It's been a long gruelling season in which we've been top of the league virtually from the off. Despite a dip in form, we're still six points clear of City in second, and we've still got a game in hand. In other words, we can afford a couple more slip ups, we can afford to relax occasionally. CIty can't, City need to go hell for leather, they need to win every single one of their remaining games. Not that it's impossible for them to do so, but on City's recent form, it does look a little improbable.

And so, despite a plethora of dodgy decisions, despite the occasional upset, loss of form, suspensions and injuries (the normal wear and tear of a Premiership season), as far as this year's league title goes, we are still very much in the driving seat.

Put it another way. At this stage of the season would you rather be in our position or in City's?

I agree with that - play like we did in the first half we'll blow it; play like we did in the second half we should be ok

Problem is none of us knows which Chelsea we'll get and when we do play well we increasingly play well in 20 minute periods and then fade - I hope Jose has the answer

We seem to be sh*t in the first half the vast majority of the time now and we have to wait until we concede a goal or go behind to get any kind of reaction out of the players. Don't see why Jose can't motivate them better for the first half, he's paid sh*t loads of money to do that sort of thing.

and when we do go in front we sit back and try to coast it; can't remember when we last got an early goal and pressed and pressed for more. Swansea?

You could maybe include the League Cup final in that too, but yes the mythical Swansea game is once again the answer. The amount of times that gets brought up as the last time we were good is incredible yet it rings true. Arguably the peak of our season where everyone was on their A-game and it was over two months ago.
