Are our rivals about to catch or overtake us?

Featured Replies

Next weekend is gonna be huge in the title race, you gotta believe if we win next weekend and United/Arsenal slip up then it's all over.

IMHO it's the matches w/ CFC manure & le arse that will define the season - as for that one question....NO!!!

What does that leave us needing? 5 wins from the remaining games? I can see us getting that easily. Mourinhos record of hardly losing Vs Big teams is a massive bonus, A draw vs Utd and Arsenal will be enough for the title as long as we win the rest.

Although playing liverpool after winning it officially would be awesome!

How the mighty has fallen, really surprised how fast the wheels have fallen of City. I guess we aren't that bad, grinding out ugly win is a lot better than lose due to dodgy defending and referees.

Arsenal are more likely to catch us now haha. Provided we can beat Lecsiter, we are 10 clear, with 6/7 left. Mou has this worked out. We can begin to OLEOLEOLEOLE very very soon

Arsenal vs. Chelsea

CFC could be already 10 points ahead of both manure & le arse - personally I don't want to look that far ahead - one match at a time - qpha is the only thing that matters at the moment

What ever is said here after a good City-result for us the title will go down the wire. Arsenal is in very very good form along with ManU. We will still play both which is great because we are really the masters of our destiny. We don't have to follow our rivals just make sure we take points.

I've looked at the final fixtures, the three below us have yet to play one another, bar City vs Arsenal. Only one team is realistically able to catch us. We want United to beat City, Arsenal to beat United, then we beat Arsenal and the league is ours

Noooo, we want City to beat United, but I will settle for a draw.

Why the hell would you want anything else than a draw if you are a Chelsea fan?!?! Two points given to your rivals or 3 points given to your rivals. It can't be more simple.

Any of the others need for us to lose nearly half our remaining games (when we've only lost 2 so far in 30 !!) and they need to win ALL of there's..
Ain't gonna happen....
Mondays game was the catalyst to us winning the title, we are going to be champions in May, i am 100% confident now.
C'mon the Chels.

Sense at last!

It's very likely but we have three tough games coming up. QPR away is always a horrible game, Matic and Cesc are both one booking away from a two match ban, then we have United at home who seem to have luck on their side in almost every match, and then it's away to Arsenal.

Fortunately they have a cup game in two weeks so the smallest margin of points we can go to them with is 4 points but they've been the team we need to watch for a while now, because City are imploding.

Worst case scenario is that we drop points this weekend, lose one or both of the midfielders for two matches, drop points at United and go to Arsenal under a bit of pressure.

Having said that if we get a better result than them this weekend then I think we're very much there.

As I said before - let's see what arsneal have now that the thought of winning the title is a real posibility for them, before they where playing to secure top 4, don't think they dreamed of winning the league. As soon as these games become cup finals they get a lot harder

If we win our game in hand and one more against a smaller team, we can draw the rest of the games until the end of the season and still win the league.

I'm not ruling anyone out/jinxing it so I've not mentioned a specific team but agree with the fact it's Arsenal who are more likely - I've said that for a while now.
