Pogba will probably be sold for crazy money so not much of a chance that we'll be the ones paying through or nose. If he ends up in the PL it will be in one of the Manc teams.

Would love us to go for kovacic, obviously pogba would be fantastic, but I don't think we could afford him. Kovacic would be a fantastic deputy for fabregas in central midfield, and he may even put pressure on oscar for that number 10 spot.

Can't see him costing over 20m either. if we do go after a striker though, I hope it is lacazette.

Pjanic would be good aswell.

I want us to sign him just so we can sing "pjanic on the streets of London"..

Yeah can't see us in for Pogba to be fair just a pipe dream but I think we may sign Varane.

I wish we could find another Geremi, a tremendous utility player who did a fine job when asked. They don't make them like that anymore.

I agree with the above - fantastic transfer business once again.

Eiether of those players would be immense. But a striker seems to be our most pressing demand. Clearly, Drogba is not a long term solution. We'll be down to just Costa and Remy, and top quality strikers don't come cheap.

Hopefully Costa will be our main striker for some years, Remy is a class reserve, Bamford may be ready for a step up next season as number 3. We're not going to splash out on a top striker to sit on the bench and they are not going to want to!

I just heard on Sky that Chelsea have done what Manchester City have done and that is balance the books.

Am I missing something here?

Emenalo deserves some credit.

He does actually because when he first came everyone was really angry, even Cundy spoke against the idea on the football show he used to present on Sky a few years back.

Was it after the Liverpool game that on the final whistle Emanelo was the person that Jose made a beeline for and hugged? Maybe they are friends and work happily together.

Funny because he was pretty much despised when he first appeared at the Bridge. Under 11 girls team coach!!

Didn't they f**k up hence why they have CL restrictions this season?

Yeah, some of the stuff written about him was embarrassing and pathetic.

I hope the is true and they can continue like this. Pretty funny because Mourinho seems to sell most of Emenalo signings not that i doubt Emenalo cares that much.

They've spent much more than they can buy.

Have they even made any profit from the players they have bought? They bought Tevez for 25 million and sold him for about 13 million, exactly the same with Javi Garcia then they spunked out 25 million on his replacement with Fernando.

It must be there sponsorships that are keeping them kicking, which is also very dodgy business.

Yeah like the stadium sponsor

Can someone explain to me the point that David Brick ( I think that's his name) point about us falling in to FFP like Man City? Did he miss the part where they have a restricted squad in Europe because they don't balance the books? Or am I missing something really obvious?

It's late I never noticed this has already been asked, but does anyone have an answer yet? It's very strange. Does it include sponsorships?

We can afford Pogba and Varane.

We are doing so well on FFP. We would probably only have to offload one of Ramires/Mikel/Cahill and it would be fine. Plus all our players out on loan.

Look at the amount of net spend United and City have had in the last two seasons compared to us!

I have to give the club the credit where it's due. I was scathing towards the board when Rafa was appointed as interim manager back in late 2012 and I was consistently critical of them throughout his whole tenure but they did make the right call to bring back Jose who has been a major catalyst in lifting the spirits of the whole club and making them believe in themselves again!

Well done to all concerned in managing the constraints of the FFP and our transfer dealings in recent times have been nothing but perfect in my opinion and I hope it continues in the future.

We're in a very healthy and flexible position at the moment and I wonder whether the club is looking at a major marquee signing in the near future.

So Platini has given an interview for French television RTL, in which he says UEFA will consider loosening FFP regulations at the end of June. Which is frustrating enough on its own, considering the bloody lengths our club has gone to to make sure it complies, but whatever.

Later in the same interview, however, he comes up with this gem (roughly translated from the original):

The media in France insisted on those types of restrictions (FFP), mostly because Abramovich could buy whoever player he wanted, and French teams couldn't.

It was always about us. F*** you, Platini.

Just heard an interview with camoli (however its spelt) and when talking about FFP he said it’s no secrate that platini does not like English football, so the recent cash injection for the premier league has essentially made him re-think ffp because it no longer inhibits the premieship teams as much.

Nothing ever seem’s to get said about the fact that Barca and Real monopolise the money from Spanish TV … I actually think they may as well just play each other 10 times and whoever wins the most games win the league. The other teams can have the best of the rest league

^ And FFP is also inhibiting two French clubs with rich owners...

Are Monaco still wealthy though?

I thought they had cut back on a huge scale and wont be investing like they did a few seasons ago.

PSG will have a field day though.
