It is being reported in Spain that Atl. Madrid are about to sign Kevin Gameiro as a striker, which probably means that they have given up on signing Costa this season. This signing will probably be completed tomorrow, or so they say.

AS is very reliable in Spain, especially Madrid (both clubs) related news. They don't have to bug Costa's phone, just have sources at AM give them updates.

I don't trust any main stream newspapers anymore. They're a Madrid based news outlet, of course they will report in favour of Atleti. Until a club or player says something i'm happy believing he is content.

Valid point there. Just IMO his desire to be here isn't there anymore as he hasn't denied any of these rumors (maybe I missed something) and they've been on for months.

I find suspicious that Atlético hasn't signed Gameiro from Sevilla yet. Marca said Atlético would sign him today, but I guess if Costa has asked to move back to Madrid, they won't sign Sevilla's striker.

 

Not sure what is going to happen if Costa goes, I guess Lukaku will be the substitute, but I sincerely hope we look for someone else.
