Anyway - as far as money is concerned we have the new TV rights income, the new sponsorship money and the prize money from winning the league this year. Not small change by any imagination. My concern is not how much we can afford but how high the transfers fees this year are going to be now there are lots of teams with lots of money to spend.

Just saying Balotelli can still improve and I think Jose has this power to do so.

 

About Remy, he's good player and we should keep him. I'm happy to have him as our second choice, he scoring goals and has PL experience.

Of course he can improve he scored 1 goal i think this season, if he can't improve on that he should just give up.

Well, they said they were going to make a decision at the end of June so it may well be changed in time.

Averaged a goal every 95 minutes in the league this season. Always thought he was a goal threat and wouldn't mind him sticking around next season if we got someone like Griezmann.

we did that in the past two matches - Remy is one to keep IMHO - let's not make the same mistake the club did w/ Schürrle for just a few million quid.

Remy is a great asset. Hopefully the success this year will drive him on to stay here a few more years.

I think he's a bit too clumsy on the ball compared to Anelka so he doesn't look as good out wide as him but he's my favourite second choice striker since Anelka.

Was just thinking, Remy has played a few games out wide at the end of this season, both in the prem and in the post-season friendlies.

 

Now that Jose has ruled out Griezmann and Falcao looks likely, i wonder if Jose is intending to use Remy more in that position next season, hence the need for another striker but not a big name winger?

I think Remy is ok as a backup striker, but other then his speed I feel he lacks attributes to be playing as a winger/inverted winger. He is not that good at dribbling and I don't think his off the ball movement is even close to Costas. 

 

We need to sign a third winger to complement Hazard and WIllian, because whenever they are not playing we end up with Remy, Ramires, or some other bad option winger.

It's seems like he wants to leave. 

If the Falcao thing is true then I cant say I'm surprised, prob feels he wont get a proper chance in that event.

Could be interesting if he did leave, means we'd be in the market for two strikers. 

 

Add to that if Cuadrado truly is eyeing the exit after only 6 months and it could be a busy summer transfer wise.

Could be something like us going in for one of Walcott or Sterling? Either would be an upgrade on Cuadrado and help with our homegrown contingent.

Who do you bring in to replace Remy? He hasn't kicked up a fuss being a second striker well third striker as Drogba was preferred to him on quite a few occasions. Everytime he played he seemed to be in the right place at the right time and kept getting goals.

That's all that was asked of him to keep scoring when he played, and he delivered. Why fix it if isn't broke? Selling him to take a punt on Falcao who hasn't seemed fit all season in the hope he finds the form of 4 seasons ago seems a huge risk. A risk not worth taking. Unless Falcao's arriving as third striker I don't want to hear anything about it.
