Shafted by Shambolic Sky

Featured Replies

There's a site called time4tv has got all the Sky Sports and Racing Uk which is about a score a month on Sky. A pal text me about Garth Crooks says he coudn't hide his disdain about us and our style of football.

That would be the same Garth Crooks who has 6 Chelsea players in his team of the year, would it ?

Pretty simple isn't it?

Taking exclusivity away from Sky and BT.

But when neither channel shows our games live, it would be nice to watch them on Chelsea TV. I didn't mean all our games, but I would rather watch them on a Chelsea channel instead of having to stream games. Not just league games, but cup games also.

  Garth Crooks is a fat pile of excrement with a peanut for a brain.

Here's the reply I got:

Hi

Thank you for your comments, but we can assure you that we have no bias towards any team.

Our football coverage aims to be as broad as possible and we show every team several times during the season. Our schedule is a balance of following the big head to heads, key battles at both ends of the table, plus other match ups that our viewers value and enjoy.

Most of the time the instinct of the Director is spot on, but very occasionally we get it wrong, so apologies if you feel something vital has been missed on the odd occasion.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact Sky.

Kind Regards

Gill

At least they replied I guess. What would you have liked them to say ?

Glad I don't pay for that nonsense anymore.

There is no other option if you want to watch your team play though, is there ?

While I'm sometimes not happy with Sky, I know that the money we pay is being fed back down to the clubs and the Premier League is , unarguably, far far better as a result . The EPL would be nothing like it is today without them.

Saw that Val thanks, I can't get it to work. And to be honest all I want to see if the players celebrating, don't care what the pundits are saying.

What a complete and utter let down. Gutted, the Sky bias started when our game was selected on an entertainment channel, then they didn't even go to our ground as the main studio, then they hardly talk about us, begrudging watch our match and then show 5 minutes of celebrations.

You would not get that with Liverpool, Arsenal or Man Utd. Blue Daze isn't telling me otherwise either.

Didn't see this until just now.  :laugh2:

Didn't they give us a lot of celebration coverage when we actually won the league?

At least they replied I guess. What would you have liked them to say ?

It's not actually what they've said its the way they've said it. Although they haven't actually acknowledged my complaints about the lack of footage with the trophy lift etc.

Sky love a story. For them us winning the league weeks a go ended the neutrals season on a downer, so they went to the ground where there could be a story made. It's not our fault though that we dominated the league since day one.

Like Jose said, blame our rivals for not stepping up.

Though I do agree, It felt nothing like It did in comparison to previously won titles. If Liverpool won the league last season, it would still be replayed on skysports news to this day which makes it even more sweeter that Jose stank the place out last year at Anfield.

Chelsea tv was free yesterday so after the parade we sauntered home to watch their coverage, which was good apart from the sound, whoever the sound engineer is probably got sacked this morning, if not I'd like to know why...It seemed like the team was cavorting in front of thousands of mute folk, and it certainly didn't sound quiet from where I was standing...At some points the sound seemed to go off completely...

the yanks not much better, full time blown on Sunday we have to go live to some  obscure game(s) featuring some non descript teams from somewhere

called the north east of England apparently fighting relegation whatever that might be

then about 30 mins of advertisements punctuated by clips of the trophy presentation

parade was on at 3.30am here my time, so missed that live and all

lots of clips out there now of the lot so enjoy

It would be better.

Without competition it won't be though. If you look at the money Sky have put into football it's clear that no other broadcaster would be able to bid anywhere near the amount they do.

Respect is lost in football, their would have been full coverage for Liverpool, if they had won the league, probably United too. Sky can mention how they are unbiased, but it's rubbish because there is a list of pundits, from Sky and also BBC who are incredibly biased, idiots like Crooks, who seems mentally challenged and the pro Liverpool pundits on Sky, plus the proffesional troll Adrian Durham. Let's face it, only one team matter to the media in England, just compare Lampard and Drogba's send off, to Gerrard's, Drogba has actually been mocked, they wouldn't dare mock saint Gerrard. We just have to try and ignore them all, becuase they lack any sort of professionalism unfortunately, the only time we, or our players are given any sort of respect is when we are the underdogs in Europe.

::clap2::

GIve it 5 or 10 years and the Liverpool worship will stop.

Just gotta ride it out.

And as we continue to grow we'll be better represented.  Not going to happen overnight though.
