no surprise Stoke lost to Liverpool tonight...they were very lucky to beat us in the last round (and the League for that matter)...if it wasn't for the fact they're playing Liverpool, i'd be more pleased they lost the first leg and are probably going out...they were giving it large to us up there, when on another day we would have stuffed them...twice

So glad we didn't make into the Carling Cup semis, last year the 2 legs against liverpool really took the steam out of us. I remember Jose played the best 11 for both games, and the second game went into OT. I believe Everton will pick a strong team against City too, good sign for us leading up to our game against them.

The atmosphere in the 2nd leg at SB especially in extra time was incredible. I'll never understand when people devalue the cups either!

That was the best atmosphere I've seen at the Bridge for years. Carefree was echoing around the stands, even many in the West Upper were getting involved.

When they dimmed the lights for the 'heart beat' at the start of the match, then brought them back up for Blue is the Colour I was honestly a bit teary! Everyone was right behind every song - just wish it was like that at every game.

Everton are so casual at the back. Even when the opposition are heavily pressing them, they try to pass it out of danger or attempt to beat a player. Almost cost them against Spurs.

I wouldn't say spot on, been offside de several times. But his teammates have made a mess of a few.

I think lukaku's positioning has been just off almost every time, either going early and getting offside or being too slow to get where he should be. Still better than anything we've got.
