More on arsenal...so they're now making more money than us due to emirate stadium. admittedly that can't be ignored, but it, along with 19 point gap has led to load of clap trap being said and written that they're now top dogs in London again...think they need to win a title or champions league to start boasting that

His lawyers are arguing for a hefty fine instead of jail time.

I read that ''hefty'' fine would be around 21.000 euro..

Not sure if it's true, but that would be ridiculous.

f**king disgrace Scott

He should be sent down just for saying this

"I'm a professional sportsman and I don't know a lot about legal and financial matters.

Therefore I must rely on the people that manage these technical, and for me, complicated, issues"

So he's saying because he's a sportsman, he doesn't know how to handle his own money ? No wonder why people think footballers are thick.

Have you not seen Something About Mary? The pre date scene?

No, I've never seen that film. Should I?

It's a "Get out of jail" card. The likes of us would never be offered one of ghese!

Didn't "Arry claim something about his dog doing his taxes once?

It's like a real life game of monopoly for these rich folks.

It always was, always will be. Every law was written by the rich and powerful since Hammurabi (and probably before that too we just don't have proof).

We must be really thick so putting money in footballers pockets. The game is sh*t nowadays so distant from the working men and women

always surprises me fans continually support these players. i think fans should start investing in themselves rather than give money over to clubs when fans are continually being disappointed. with the way ticket prices have risen i won't be going to a game any time soon. i could use that money on other areas of my life rather than watching overpaid primadonnas kick a football around and who don't give a sh*t about my life, nor are they paying my wages directly or indirectly.

It's daft, but a whole lot of fun. There is an iconic moment of Cameron Diaz's hair that is oft referred to.

The Hammurabi code, great reference.  But jogging my memory it has laws in there that really do discriminate based on social status.

If you put aside the fact that it treated slavery as a normal way of life, then no, not much direct discrimination based on social status bar the stronger protection of the properties of the court and church. However if you think about how it could have been uphold then you'll quickly realise that poor men were at a serious disadvantage when appearing before the judges/elders to prove a claim or defend their innocence.
