Cuadrado to rival Torres?

Featured Replies

Surely we must be getting an annual figure for the loan so that it takes him to the end of the contract and they can pick him up from there?

although I don't see why we wouldn't just sell him to them and accept payment in yearly instalments because that would effectively be the same thing.

so maybe I'm wrong and they just pay his wages, in which case we have made a huge financial loss on him.

All the best Cuad, it just wasn't meant to be!

presumably we will re-sign him in five years time to partner david luiz in the middle of defence.

Once again, the piss taken out of us in transfer dealings. If Juventus want him for 3 years, then f**king buy him. I thought we'd seen the end of this nonsense buying overpriced players and loaning them out when Veron and Crespo finally left.

We are getting 5 mil euros a year.

If juve want to make it a permanent deal - 25mil euros (total)

Add on of 4 mil euros, though conditions not sure.

Figures I saw said 5m a year as a loan fee, plus option to buy for 20 million at any time in the 3 years ... (euros)

Seems there's a clause where they have to sign him after a certain amount of games.

That would make sense. Can't see him ever coming back here now.

So it looks like our 4 wingers for the season are Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Moses. Pedro is the weak link that I'd upgrade ASAP.

I wonder if there's some ffp reason behind this loan, something to do with the amortisation.

Likely. Remember Serie A revenues are much lower and they spunked most of the Pogba fee on Higuain. They likely can't afford to show Cuadrado's fee until next season.

That would be the only thing that made sense, otherwise why would they buy him in a year or two if they can just see out the loan at a lower cost and sign him on a free.

At least we have learnt our lesson with the clause, after veron and crespo went on loan until their contracts run out. Wasted a lot of money there. Same thing with Marin too long on loan.

What a waste of space this bloke turned out to be...showed no effort or desire when he got here (albeit Mourinho didn't exactly boost his confidence), but when Conte makes a big play to give him another chance, he shows the kind of fight we wanted on the pitch and fought for another move back to Juve...while we lost money on Torres, Cuadrado offered far less and is arguably a worse signing in our history

Prediction: Cuadrado is going to become a very valuable player for us this season: 12 goals, 7 assists.

No chance.

He's only ever hit double figures of goals once in his career up to now and there's no way he'd manage it at Chelsea where he's going to be second choice at best.

I don't rate Willian at all, so I give him (Cuadrado) every chance to make that RW his own, especially with Conte at the helm who clearly sees something in him.

Can we change thread title to "The Return Of The Chosen Juan"

Will make PFA team of the season. Heard it here first.

Can we get a minutes silence for death of Gosha's awful predictions for Cuadrado this season?

We should adopt a policy of not loaning out these players who have no future in the squad to the same team two years in a row, it's like going into a newsagents and reading the whole f**king magazine without buying it.
