Champions League Group Stage Draw

Canada is one place I've never been but always wanted to visit. I like the look of Vancouver, British Columbia for some reason.

I'm in Toronto, but I am dying to go over to the west coast looks gorgeous, my sister was over there for 3 months when other half was making a film, she loved it, if you watch the A Team Movie the majority of it is shot there even the desert scene at the beginning, if you appreciate the Great Outdoors, it's a place you should visit, and whats great here is they are football mad, far more European influence than the States, I have my nephew here a die hard Chelsea boy now, I'm going to take him over to Montreal to watch Drog play, that or wait for them to have an away game with Toronto.

Happy Days, where abouts are you based?

Currently in Israel, soon to be living in Toronto.

Anyway back to the topic, looking forward to seeing the team live on november!

Happy to see anything Vancouver related posted when I check this thread.

I think the travel itself sucks, but when you look  at the schedule.. it's very favorable.

The away games we play, Porto is surrounded by Newcastle and Southampton.

Kyiv away is surrounded by Villa and West ham.

Maccabi away is surrounded by Bournemouth and Leicester.

That was the worry for me when I initially saw the draw - the fear of possibly having to play in Ukraine or Israel three or four days before playing one of Liverpool or Arsenal, etc.

Draws should be routine wins, the miles though shouldn't be underestimated, remember Mou was happy with PSG because it's closer, when the season gets busy and you're in 4 cups, those miles will have an impact, lets hope it forces some good squad rotation, guys like Kennedy should give Hazard a rest and RLC I hope will get some game time, they may also give us a chance to drop guys like brana if Jose is stubborn on keeping him and let baba shine, it may work out for us in the end.

Im pretty sure that we were able to manage to get one of the easier groups of the draw. Glad we missed out on Madrid, that would have been a very tough, early test. I dont see why we should not take max or near max points out of our group. Porto may be the most testing side of the group, but who knows how the other two sides will play against us. Nonetheless, I feel confident in saying that well make the Round of 16.

They really do have a sh*t record in the CL don't they?  Yet on all the adverts, the only British player is Joe Hart.  Not that I'm bitter.

City will top their group this year. They'll beat Juve, and make light work of the other teams in the group. I've actually got a feeling Juve will slip down to Europa this season, which would actually be positive for English coefficient.

It was good listening to the live draw on the radio as I was driving home from work. But once the draw was done and we knew who got who, did we really need them to go on & on about it and which are the easy groups and which is the "group of death" (there always has to be one even when there really isn't).

Have to say, I'm now bored with the CL already and a ball hasn't even been kicked!!

Problem with city, they struggled last season in Moscow and weren't convincing vs Roma, as well as relying heavily on aguero. It depends on their injury situation to how they fair this season in the CL, but you would expect them, with the money spent and quality bought, to top the group this year and reach the latter stages of the competition.

Not really, if Juventus were to drop out of the Champions League they would probably do really well in the Europa league so they would still boost Italy's coefficient.

I think English teams will be far more of a presence this year, not sure who else is this way inclined but I always get behind any Englsih team in Europe because for me it seems better for English football and so better for us, last year was embarrassing.

Hi everyone, newbie here.

Thought this was the right place to ask.

I've got a Chelsea membership this season but it's still on zero points (will need to get some points on the board as planning on doing Bournemouth, Norwich and Watford in the second half of the season and have a feeling the tickets might be tight) but I've booked up flights to Porto and Tel Aviv (wanted to book Kiev last night too but I got told they have been playing their games 1000km from their normal stadium so would like the venue confirmed so I can look into that trip too) ... basically what I'm trying to find out does anyone know if zero points will be enough to get tickets ok for these fixtures? I've done Porto and Tel Aviv with Rangers before but not with Chelsea.

I've done about 20 European trips with Chelsea in the past but obviously after Paris they've changed the ticketing process in regards to collection with ID etc.

Also what are the chances of Chelsea doing an official trip to Kiev and what might the prices be do you think?

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm also hearing a rumor that the Tel Aviv game might be getting moved to Hafia?

It will be in haifa, brand new stadium with much bigger capacity. Let me know the details of your trip, I live in tel aviv so happy to advice with anything

Haifa is an hours drive, it's really not hard to get to at all

I've just sent you a PM, cheers.

I'm still not over the fact that we haven't managed to draw against a Dutch club in the past million years, but Haifa get the golden draw after 5 minutes in the CL. So unfair!
