Arsenal I get, they haven't signed a single outfield player, but United? They signed Schweinsteiger(£14.4m), Schneiderlin(£25m), Darmian (£12.7m), Depay(£21m) and now Martial (£36m).

Utd may well spent some money but it hasn't improved them...they didn't buy a striker which they clearly need and then send strikers out on loan and sell, they f**k up the Pedro deal, f**k up the DeGea deal and buy an unknown 19 year old for 36 mill...I though our lot were stupid at times but Utd are running close IMO.  Wouldn't surprise me if they panic buy Austin or even Adeboyer

they've improved enough to be sat above us in the table while we sit in mediocrity with a squad which looks utterly shattered, having failed to win either of our opening two games at home.

There is a lot of deflection from ardent fans who refuse to accept that we have gone backwards. That's not a swipe at you, that's a general observation. Neville provided some valuable insight at the weekend and gave his assessment, the main point he made in his closing comments was that we just look exhausted.

Its absolutely weird.

The only explanation I can think for these 2 signings on deadline day plus Moses getting a new 5 year deal while going out on loan again is that Jose is trolling Roman for not splashing the cash on Pogba and Stones.

Does seem very similar to Jose's 3rd season last time. Wouldn't be surprised if he's not here next year. Despite all the talk about building a legacy, the guy just can't stay anywhere very long

Funnily enough I went to the same school as Michael. A bit conflicted on the transfer because we wanted proven quality in defence, and opted for someone who hasn't had the chance to prove himself on the big stage. However I have seen him play for Jamaica against Argentina, and he did a great job in that game against the likes of Messi, and he has been routinely solid in the Championship. He can play as both a right back and central defender, and is pretty fast... I guess we will see how this works out.

We wont as it's reported hes gone back on loan.

IMO Utd are all over the place and have no strategy in terms of the players they wanted or how they were going to shape their team.  The players they did buy are no better than the players we have sat on the bench.  Our problems are not related to the players that we actually have in terms of their talent, but it is a mystery as to why they just can't seem to get going collectively.  Despite how bad we may look right now I'd rather have our squad than theirs.  Unless Utd sign a striker today or at the very latest in Jan, I just can't see them finishing in the top 4 and then who is to say that DeGea won't remain on the bench and he is the one that baled them out last year.

£4m for a 23 year old with no top flight experience only to loan him straight back again?

What exactly is the end goal with this signing?

Surely the club don't envision him suddenly being Premier League quality overnight and pushing for a place at Chelsea and surely he won't gain any real value to make him worth selling on either?

Truly, truly bizarre and I cannot begin to imagine what is going on behind the scenes. Only 48 hours ago jose was on record as saying that if players arent good enough, then they will be dropped. However, there is absolutely no chance that a senior squad member is going to be dropped for either Papa Bollocksjido or old hector spectre - principally because one can only assume that the latter will be going out on loan, whilst the other sits on the bench looking confused at what is going on.

I wet myself reading this! Well done sir. Could do with some merriment on what has become the most bizarre transfer deadline day in years

Worryingly the ones who are saying there may be some unrest between the board and Jose might not be totally wrong afterall..

What other reason can these transfers mean?

its a strange old situation!

seems like everyone at the bridge is pissed, or at the very least had a f**king monumental night out last night.

these signings are the equivalent of my output on a monday morning after a 4pm kick off on a sunday. scratching around at my desk performing at a sub-standard level and providing output that is questionable at best.

these c**ts need some aspirin and a kick in the arse.

Behave yourself for gods sake.

Calling them c**ts is sarcasm? OK.

you obviously dont get along to match day very often or engage in foul-mouthed football related banter, sir.

not sure if you live in the uk or not, but for clarity, not every time the word c**t is used, does it mean that it is being aggressively thrown at someone as an insult.

it may also be used in a humorous context, a "poking fun" if you will, however now that I know you are such a sensitive flower, I'll be sure to watch my phraseology in future.

have a great afternoon.

ah the ever offended with his daily tuppence.

it was sarcastic.

dry your eyes.

Blimey, it's getting a bit Michael HECtic in this thread, chill out lads #deadlinedaybantz
