As for Ramires he's a box to box player, not a defensive midfielder. He likes a tackle, but he isn't to be relied on to protect the back four.

Calm down, boss. Ramires has always been defensive midfielder. Jose used him on the wing, but that doesn't mean he is not defensive. It looks like you've never watched him.

He can't win a ball without fouling most of the times and when he gets a yellow he's a ticking time bomb, he's better going forward than defending.

That being said, Matic has been so weak in these past games I would rather rely on a fully attacking lineup with Ramires than persisting with him at the moment.

I think we will win 3-1 however Mourinho will have a lot to answer for if we don't.

Expect boos around the ground if we lose.

Jose probably believes the problem is not in defence but up front. 

With this line up surely Jose is looking to take the game to Southampton, not a team that screams defensive solidarity is it?

We need to dominate possession as much as possible because I'm not sure Ramires and Fabregas have the positional discipline to site back and soak up pressure.

I know a lot of you are skeptical, but I think Falcao has shown promise. I think he can grab a goal or two in this game, and hopefully kick on from there. The toughest test will be Mane on Ivanovic. Ramires can be reckless in defence, but hopefully he won't do anything rash. Hopefully Fabregas proves us all wrong and shows that he was worth a start.
