I'd be tempted to call it a long range effort by Tammy's standards! October 7, 20169 yr Made his debut for England U21's last night. In his brief 5 minute cameo as a sub he failed to score against Kazakhstan... KAZAKHSTAN! Rubbish!
October 8, 20169 yr I'm a northern (SWFC Fan), But worked and lived in London for 5 years.... In that time the lads from work dragged me down to Stamford Bridge a lot and I am defo a Chelsea fan (when darn south). Only other ground I bothered with was Arsenal on a freebie, but just found it weird sat in an athletics stadium with no atmosphere - even SWFC smashed them (Arsenal) 3-0 last season in the cup. Anyway I just wanted to report on Abraham, as I watched him v Wednesday a few weeks back for Bristol. For them (Bristol) he is basically a Van Nistlerooy (one man attack). Surrounded by absolutely dog sh*t. And he still looked class. I reckon given the chance he could defo be a Rashford for Chelsea. About time they (Chelsea) gave some youth a chance in my opinion, as it is the best way to build up team spirit. And from the fans point of view it is nice to see a player develop. I am in no doubt this guy will play for England. Hopefully he will get a chance, but no doubt it'll never happen. in which case I hope he joins Wednesday for a bit and maybe we can sell him back for a £100MM.
October 11, 20169 yr Just scored on his debut for the U-21st to make that 12 in 15 in all comps this season. Can't wait till he gets loaned to Vitesse next season!

You would've been dead and buried at 3-1 if tomlin had put his penalty away and we'd be even further ahead of you in the table than we are now. Anyway, Tammy still banging them in and looking forward to him sticking away a few against the mob across the bridge on fri eve. It's on Sky if any of you want to check out how he's doing
October 12, 20169 yr Author Past experience tells me not to get too excited about any of our young prospects. But things really couldn't be going any better for the lad right now and it's great to see and one can only hope that he has what it takes to be our future No. 9.
October 12, 20169 yr the second goal is particularly good. his marker nearly ended up in another postcode! the test for our youngsters is to prove they can do it in proper football and tammy is showing he's got the mentality and the attitude to go far. as per usual though, every time I see him doing well I have to ask what on earth we're doing with solanke. he trains with the first team but never plays with the u21s so is he being punished or rewarded?
October 12, 20169 yr He just has that knack of being in the right place at the right time, can't really teach that great talent hope he makes it here.
October 12, 20169 yr One thing he seems to have which our other prospects seem to be lacking is a fantastic mentality and drive to succeed. Only Musonda has shown that too in my opinion.

Proper striker, though I've seen some play him down for scoring tap ins, I forget kids now want to judge strikers on fancy skills and wonder goals.
October 13, 20169 yr Certainly seems to be ahead of Solanke in the pecking order now. Can't help but wonder what would have happened if we'd loaned Solanke to a lower division side instead of another one wasted at Vitesse.
October 13, 20169 yr I honestly don't think the Vitesse loan was bad for Solanke, I believe he was only 17 when he arrived there. I'm not sure he would have been able to handle the physicality of the English lower leagues at that age. The only real downside I see is that young players getting moved around a lot don't have a real chance to acclimatize. New city, language, customs, league, friends etc. Imo we should do more 2 year loans.

October 29, 20169 yr I have never thought Solanke was good enough. Likewise RLC. Abraham, however is different gravy. If he doesn't get the chance we may as well pack up our youth academy.
