September 14, 20169 yr 36... He's still somewhat of an unknown quantity in the Championship so I think the season will get harder for him as opposition work out how to nullify him, but credit where it's due; http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/245294-their-striker/&page=2 Edited September 14, 20169 yr by the special one
September 14, 20169 yr Happy to see Tammy doing do well on his loan, but i just go back a few seasons when Bamford set the Championship on fire and he was not rewarded for his efforts. Our young players as good as they are they won't make it in the team, who knows maybe we sell Tammy and buy him back for 100 mill.
September 14, 20169 yr He's got the physique, but does he have the actual ability? How is his first touch? Can he link up play well? How is he at shooting from outside the box? How's his dribbling? We've seen with Loftus-Cheek, just because he's got the size and strength doesn't mean he's going to be any good technically.

Bamford scored 19 goals in 44 games that season, Tammy has 8 goals in 9 games. Tammy has the potential to be a lot better than Bamford.
September 14, 20169 yr After last nights performance, these are the words of Sheff Wed supporters who have no affiliation with Tammy, Quote One of best performances I've seen from a teenager Quote Looks a real quality player Quote Some future in the game that kid. Quote said at the start he will get a couple. Top goal scorer for a reason Quote Very good - not their player though, he's on loan from Chelsea Quote Terrifying player. Quote Premiership star of the future believe you me. Quote will be an England regular Quote What a player that lad could be. Bosses it tonight. Quote He tore Lees, Hutchinson and Sasso a new one. Quality performance. Quote Unbelievable. I bet Tom Lees is happy the games finished, won absolutely everything in the air. Quote 8 goals in 9 games having played only 2 senior games before. Incredible, this lad may well walk into the Chelsea side next year. Quote Unreal performance. Was talkinbout him constantly to mates as seen him play b4. Fantastic Chelsea talent Quote 18 Y/o and insane Quote He was playing us on his own 2nd half. Incredible performance, against one of the best centre halfs in the league. What a player that lad will be. Quote Best player on the pitch by a mile. Everything I was hoping Joao would be this year. Glad he didn't take the pen for his hat trick. Quote Proper handful Quote a tremendous performance and very clever Quote That was the best centre forward display I have seen at Hillsborough for a long time. I'm not sure even he committed a foul during the match at all. Definitely one to watch for the future. Quote The best opposition striker performance I've seen at Hillsborough Quote I was petrified everytime the ball went within 20 yards of him. Looks an absolute beast. Quote What a player. Bit of Drogba about him.He will be an absolute star. Quote Best player on the pitch. Quote 18yrs old & bullied our CB's all night. he looked such a nightmare to play against. phenomenal talent. Quote Him and Rashford are the future of English football. Abraham's all round game was quality tonight Quote he kid is a talent. Chelsea have unearthed a gem, Quote Now it's over and a happy ending I feel lucky to have seen him Quote I thought he had the perfect CF performance yesterday in all honesty. hes lightening quick, strong as an ox and showed predatory instinct with his second goal following the shot up. he used his height and strength so we'll all 90 mins. The amount of fouls he kept winning for them in the last 10 mins just by pure tenacity was remarkable. the guys got a big fiture Quote He was absolutely immense yesterday. I don't often praise an opposition player unless they play well but me and the group were talking about him a lot yesterday. IF he's still at Chelsea, and beef's up a bit, he'll be the next Drogba. He has got everything in his locker to match that. Quote Sounds like a northern soul singer, what a player Quote Looks a great prospect, I knew I should have kicked him hard on the shins when he was getting off the team bus.Only 18 too, played with so much maturity. Quote He's a real talent, I wish we had him. Quote Imagine how good this lad could be when he hits his peak (26 - 30) years of age. If he's that good at 19 Quote Scary talent. We were bricking it 2nd half every time they played it towards him. We were either gonna foul him, & give away a dangerous free kick, or he was gonna run at our goal to try & get his hat-trick. Nerve wracking stuff. Quote Slumped to his knees in centre circle when our winner went in. Quote Abrahams is a chelsea star in the making
September 14, 20169 yr Conte loves playing with two strikers, if we play a formation with 2 strikers next season he might actually get chances.

How is he at shooting from outside the box? How's his dribbling? Let's compare him to our best ever striker at the club. Drogba had an average first touch, wasn't a 'link up' player , and his dribbling was on par with Costa, bloody awful. I'll give you that he could bang them in from distance, but i doubt he was doing much of that at 18yo. Lets not forget he is just a young lad playing in a competitive league against players above his age bracket, but he still stands out above everyone else.
September 14, 20169 yr 11 hours ago, Cam said: Fingers crossed the people in charge of Chelsea are actually planning on bringing him back permanently. Only reason this may possibly happen is because Conte wanted to keep him in the squad in the first place. Cycnic in me still thinks says even that wouldn't matter and he will be moved on without getting anywhere near the team. Edited September 14, 20169 yr by Remodez

September 14, 20169 yr He is winning me over with every goal. If he keeps up this kind of rate of scoring then he should be in the first team next season. I'm dying for us to have a player come in and have the same impact as Rashford has for United.

September 14, 20169 yr 40 goals I reckon. Championship is piss and any top talented striker would score at this rate.
September 16, 20169 yr Another impressive contribution from this young man, this time with a mature interview...just comes across as a great lad...hope he stays that way and it doesn't go to his head https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/sep/16/tammy-abraham-chelsea-loan-bristol-city

Sorry what? Loftus Cheek is absolutely fantastic technically??
September 16, 20169 yr Meh, I'm not a massive fan of him. I think we've got far better young players.
September 16, 20169 yr That's by the by- I don't think baker is even a certainty to be a premier league player yet, but I can't deny he's good technically. Ruben has it all to prove that he's a good footballer, but that isn't down to a lack of technique. What's even more puzzling is the implication that he has already been found out and that being on the basis of an absence of technique. He's technically better than lampard for example! How good a player is technically doesn't equal how good they are football. P. S. re tammy, Already its clear he's no Marco mitrovic. He did need this loan that tell us what would happen when he plays against men. So far, so good. I still think solanke is the bigger prospect (and that he has been judged harshly on his loan last season, he moved just after turning 18 don't forget), but nothing more can be asked of him at the moment. Seems a great lad too and that desire to improve himself should help him improve a lot, just like ola. Edited September 16, 20169 yr by g3.7
