If We play in a manner which requires a central striker - then I can see costa starting. He is the only one who is a physical target to aim the ball @ and expect to win and hold balls. Ofcourse we dont have to play that way. A 4-3-3 to set us up to counter quickly and attack with pace will require Remy as he is the quickest of the lot. Also, I would prefer that we rest HAzard if he is coming from an injury. Pedro - Oscar - Willian combo worked great in the previous game and I would prefer that he reward that for consistency's sake. What I predict:

I'm experiencing an odd feeling for this one: excitedly anxious is perhaps the best description. The start of a new chapter this season: a twist in the story or identical to the previous chapters? There's not much room for wholesale changes after all. Still, I'm going for a 1-0 win.

Maybe you trust Terry but I dont. If his performances dont improve I would seriously question a contract extension.

I'm truly hoping we can win this one as it will give us a shot in the arm we sorely need. After Jose and our terrible start to the season, there isn't much going well for us.

 

Anyway Guus, you're the man in charge and I certainly do support you, so do your best and get our slack players off their backsides and work for their pay.

4-1 to Chelsea should not be too hard this.

Costa should not play. Period... We did not lose games because opponents scored against us. It is more to say that we didnt score.. He has zero movements in the D. Remy will do good. I think hazard will do well too.4-3-3 for me with Baba in.

It seems like a large percentage of supporters want 3 main changes:

1. Dave at rb and baba at lb. seems a no brainer to add pace and width going forward (and defending). It is CLEAR brana has lost a vital yard of pace

2. Give youth aka RLC / Kenedy a chance

3. Drop Costa cos his attitude stinks.

Obviously there's other opinions and options but those 3 seem to repeat and to a large extent frustration was building with Jose for largely ignoring all of the above. I can see Guus addressing 1 or maybe 2 of these but which? Probably hard to see him throwing the kids on from the start, but perhaps changing full backs initially. Costa I think it depends to what extent his issues may have been Jose related.

Anyway am on holiday in Canada and have game live at 7.00am so an early night and dreams of resurgence.

honestly don't give a f**k who plays, just the 3 points are important atm. 

Hiddink's first game in charge. Let's hope he's successful as the first time he was here when he only lost one game. REmy to start because Costsa is a waste of space and is a liability unless of course he has changed his attitude. Matic and Fabregas are dreadful at protecting the back four and we need to strengthen in January. Ditto Terry is slow now and we need a new central defender.. Pogba would be great in midfield and Stones in defense. Important game today, Watford are good at the moment and we will have to be alert to their attacking abilities. More of the same as we saw against Sunderland but actually putting the chances away. Relentless attacking football and keeping it tight at the back. COME ON YOU BLUES !!!

It is key to some of our young players to get the nod from Guus early on. I'd think Kenedy or RLC can get a Kickstart to their season if Guus gives them a chance right away.

However I hope we field a winning team and beat that lot.
