There are better defenders out there but I disagree with your opinion of his performance. He's put his body on the line on more that one occasion today.

Good half though they are still in it due to our overplaying in the final third.

Not exactly a convincing half.

Glad we're winning but I still think we have a lack of penetration up top, we're far too casual going at their back line.

If it's not a ball through by Cesc or a cross (which I don't think we do enough) then we struggle to break through.

I have said for a while that I'd cash in on a lot of players who are either losing it or simply stagnating at Chelsea.

Ivanovic, Cahill, Ramires and Oscar.

This will be fine. From about 60 mins their team will be too knackered and we'll walk away with it. Hopefully get to see some promising youth towards the end. Stay positive KTBFFH!

Typical over reaction on this board as always. Good half against a stubborn to team.

Would be nice if we had some shots, instead of trying this 1-touch stuff all the time, trying to pass right through about 10 players on the edge of their box.

Started well but seemed to become a bit complacent.

Ramires bringing nothing. He simply cant pass. On top of that they are always going to be looking for set pieces, isnt RLC a foot taller? Ramires is useful occasionally if we re sitting deep looking for one on the break, but in a game where we're dominating possession I dont understand what he offers to the team.

Pedro not achieving much.

Begovic has been very solid. Love Kurt, what a tackle, he did 3 like that last week, great to see what youth can do when given a a chance.

I hope we come out with a bit more urgency in 2nd. When we ve pressed high up have had some promising turnovers but havent capitalised on them.

We could've been 2 or 3 goals up if we took our chances better, but I'm satisfied with the scoreline at HT.

He gets turned to easily time and time again, for an International player its incomprehensible.  He is brave, and will throw his body in the way but that isn't what defending is all about...is it? 

What I want: Pedro, Oscar and Ramires off, put RLC, Kenedy and Traore on.

 

What will happen: 70th minute Mikel will come on for Fabregas. 85th minute RLC on for Oscar.
