January 10, 201610 yr Can't grumble at the team, obviously wants to win it. Had we played kids and lost, we'd be fuming with the lack of experience and disrepsect to Sc**thorpe, let's just get on with it. Would have liked to see RLC and Kenedy, even Bamford given a shot, but no big deal He is only here until the summer, blooding kids is a long term thing, sadly Jose didn't fancy them either But another issue we face is we're playing again on Wednesday, if we lose that do we start blaming tiredness? This team will have played 5 times in 18 games after Wednesday, this was a perfect opportunity to let a few players have a rest e.g. Willian.

I agree some could have done with a rest, i just disagree with some I have seen, on other boards and twitter wanting 8 9 kids in the starting 11. Bamford, RLC, Kenedy, Musonda, Aina, Abraham, Colkett all names i have seen mentioned as should be starting. Just ridiculous I'd have changed Willian for Kenedy and Oscar for RLC. Maybe kept MIkel in for Fabregas. Otherwise it is fine IMO
January 10, 201610 yr Let's hope we don't get any injuries and fatigue, West Brom game is just as important as this one.
January 10, 201610 yr I think its a lot more important that oyr starting 11 gets some form and confidence then sone og our youth gets a token start
January 10, 201610 yr They are not even kids though.. RLC started against Liverpool in the PL last season. Kenedy against barca. traore a whole season in Holland. Baba in Germany. Shocking selections.
January 10, 201610 yr We're 14th in the Barclays Premier League, out of the capital one cup, and you're telling the interim manager to f**k off because he's taking a cup competition seriously? Fair enough man , Again, we're not playing against a premiership team, we're at home to a team 15th in League 1. You also make it seem like our youngsters are sh*t. Kenedy, Traore, RLC and Baba are all very capable in coming in alongside our senior team and putting in a good performance against Sc**thorpe, bringing those is would not indicate Guus isn't taking it seriously, it would indicate trust in youth and also a chance to give players like Willian a rest, the bloke has played his socks off all season. January 10, 201610 yr I'm a bit disappointed that even against Sc**thorpe, not a sinlge youth player can get a game.
January 10, 201610 yr Not surprised with the line-up. Youth don't have a chance at this club. Winning this trophy is clearly a priority for Hiddink. We have no excuses today with that team, if we don't win by at least 3 goals it will be embarrassing Edited January 10, 201610 yr by Blueblur
January 10, 201610 yr I know it is entirely up to Klopp, but i found his lineup disrespectful slightly Totally agree, he not only disrespected the competition, he also took away the chance for the supporters of Exeter to see 'top' stars play at their ground.
January 10, 201610 yr I think Hiddink has the right idea, we need to make sure we win this, if we go 2-0 up in the first half then in the second half id expect to see youngsters come on
January 10, 201610 yr But really Ivanovich today? Baba needs some game time to really bed in, and RLC would be strong enough to hold the midfield...and as Bamford isn't even on the bench we can only assume he's likely to be loaned out again...come on Hiddink show some balls...this is the same sh*te lack of rotation and imagination that helped JM to the exit...
January 10, 201610 yr Why did people think he would play youth? His priority is the league and Europe, therefore he needs as many of the squad he intends to use for the rest of the season match fit and sharp as possible, and those will be the senior players. I hope when we are 2 or 3 up then we bring the young uns on. What pisses me off is the fact that CFC Management and owners constantly harp on and spout giving the kids a chance and yet year over year its the same bullsh*t that we have to listen to. This game would be a perfect opportunity to give at least 2-3 kids a start mixed with experience especially with a couple of crucial games within a few days of each other; as I said its Sc**thorpe....our f**king U21's could be Sc**thorpe.
January 10, 201610 yr Won't fault the lineup if we get a good result. Easy to forget Hiddink's only had a few week with the team. I might be wrong, but that's first starts with him in charge for Cahill and Ramires?
January 10, 201610 yr Very disappointed with that team, Baba should have started at the very least and Bamford and RLC should also have started IMO. We'll never know if they're good enough if we never give them a chance.
January 10, 201610 yr He's not Klopp and I'd rather get a win. It's not all or nothing, 3 or 4 changes would have been nice, I'm not asking for a complete squad overhaul. Also, Klopp didn't have much choice, Liverpool's injury list is insane.

January 10, 201610 yr It's not all or nothing, 3 or 4 changes would have been nice, I'm not asking for a complete squad overhaul. Also, Klopp didn't have much choice, Liverpool's injury list is insane. Guus is trying to get some consistency and he's not going to get that by tinkering with the squad every other match. Once we start to find some form and consistency, then it's time to introduce the kids, but not 3-4 of them at once and not when we're still trying to find our way back into form.
January 10, 201610 yr Interim & playing youth to build for the future is in itself a contradiction. It's not going to happen. Guus is here for the " here and now" and wants to win something. Understandable but given the opposition he could have given one or two younger players a run out.
January 10, 201610 yr Baba and RLC really should have.started today. Besides that I have no issue with Guus' team selection
January 10, 201610 yr I agree with most, It's a shame we're not seeing Bamford, Kennedy and Traore being given a chance to prove themselves. Can totally understand why he's gone for a full strengh eleven as this is our best chance at a trophy.
